rector's Report -that "today
more than ever before, the
members of co-operatives need
and demand, and have the right
to expect their own co-opera-
tives to market their products,
and supply the goods, services
and finances they must have,
at the most economical net cost
consistent with fair dealing and
the' quality of the product con-
cerned."
General Manager Leonard
Harman reported that more
than half of the 20 million dol-
lars assets of UCO proper is.
extended to 100 local co-opera-
tives. Mr. Harman also:.report-
ed that by next spring Ontario
cooperatives should have 30
warehouses for dry fertilizer
and 20 units for larger radius
distribution of liquid, thus con-
solidating the future position of
the local co-operatives as•a ma-
jor influence on this increas-
ingly important supply for
farm production.
Real Estate Salesman to Cou-
ple: "This is truly a restrict-
ed development. No one is al-
lowed to build a house they
can afford!"
The landlord called to collect
the rent and was told by the
tenant: "I can't pay you this
week."
"You said that last week and
the week before," protested the
(landlord.
"Well," replied the tenant,
"didn't I keep my" word?"
