Ninety -First Birthday
Mr. George Diegel observed
his 91st birthiday on Wednes-
day, Nov. 25, 'ahriMr. Edward
Smith his 112nd birthday on the
same day.
• Mr. and Mrs. Eli Rapien, re-
cent residents here for many
years, observed their 63rd wed-
ding anniversary on, November
12. Mr. Rapien, who is 87
years, is at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Norman Hoff-
meyer and Mr. Hoffmeyer, RR
5, Stratford, and Mrs. Rapien,
86, is at the Milverton Nursing
Home.
Mr. Fred Herbert is confined
to Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr. Cecile Jermyn, who has
been employed as bookkeeper
with the Ford Dickison Indus-
tries Ltd., has purchased a gen-
eral store at Inwood; Ont., and
takes possession on December 1.
Mrs. Jermyn had been employ-
ed at Edighoffer's in Mitchell,
and their daughter, Betty, at
the Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce; Mitchell.
Mrs. Arthur Nichol has re-
turned home from Scott Mem-
orial Hospital, Seaforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Prueter ob-
served their 58th wedding an-
niversary on November 13.

5289, Seaforth, on Thursday eve-
ning.
Those installed included:

Burns, financial secretary; Clay-
ton Looby, treasurer; V. J.

On Sunday evening the mem-
bers of Father Stephen Eckert
Council held an impressive
memorial service in the council
rooms at the Seaforth Memor-
ial Arena. Those remembered
at the service were Dennis
Bedard, Zurich, and John Coyne
of Hibbert. Grand Knight Chas.
Rau conducted the proceedings
of ,the evening.

4-H Group
Has Meeting
The fifth meeting of the Sea -
forth Security Force was held
at the SDHS Thursday. The
meeting opened with the 4 -II
Pledge. Mr. Harding, of the
Provincial Police, spoke on
"Driving Safely" and answered
questions afterwards.
The roll call, "The name of
the person whose story I have
written in my Record Book,"
was answered by 16 girls. Mrs.
Doig asked questions on traffic
laws and took up notes on
"Farm Safety Out Of the Home."
Mrs. Elliott discussed "Safety
in the House."
The next meeting will be
held at the home of Anti Sills
next Wednesdy,
