ing the week at the Royal Win-
ter Fair.
Mrs. Horton McDougall and
Mrs. George Wallace were
guests at the home of their sis-
ter, , Mrs. Sadie Scott, on Mon-
day.
A cute little student nurse
was taking a driver's license
test and was accompanied by
an examiner, when she . drove
blissfully through a red light.
"Young lady, what does a red
light mean to you?" asked the
examiner sarcastically.

ed, "A bedpan."

Michael Wilkinson exchanged
wedding vows in St. James'
Roman Catholic Church on Sat-
urday, Nov. 7th, at 12 noon.
Rev. C. E. Sullivan sang the
Nuptial High Mass. Baskets of
white and yellow mums decor-
ated the church for the occa-
sion. The ,bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lan -
sink, and the groom is the son
of Mr, and Mrs. J. J. Wilkin-
son, Seaforth.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor -
length gown of deep yellow ros-
es over a pale yellow back-
ground, fashioned with a match-
ing long -sleeve jacket. A fabric
rose headpiece completed her
ensemble. She carried red ros-
es. The groom's gift to the bride
was pearl earrings and match-
ing brooch.
Maid of honor was Rosemary
Lansink, sister of the bride;

tical street length gowns of
deep blue bova satin, styled
with empire waistlines and long
sleeves. Blue pillbox hats with
white gloves and pearl acces-
sories completed their- ensem-
bles. They carried yellow ros-
es.
The groom was attended by
William Gallow, of Goderich, as
groomsman, and ushers were
Henry Lansink and -Raymond
Garon, of Clinton.
Mrs. Alice Stiles was organ-
ist and accompanied the men's
choir as they sang "Ave Marie."
A reception was held follow-
ing the ceremony at Hotel Clin-
ton. For a wedding trip to the
west coast, the bride travelled
in a black and white wool cape
suit with black and white fea-
ther hat and black accessories.
She wore a corsage of pink ros-
es.
Guests were present from
Whitby, Toronto, Dutton, Peter-
borough, Glencoe,' Goderich,
Clinton and Seaforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson will
reside in Egmondville.

Eleven ladies from Staffa Wo-
men's Institute were guests of
the Monkton Women's Institute
on Thursday afternoon.
Quite a number - of ladies
from this community attended
a school on deserts, sponsored
by the -Dublin Women's Insti-
tute, held at the home of Mrs.
Charles Friend on Thursday ev
ening.
Larry Elliott returned home
from Stratford General Hospi-
tal on Friday.

day evening With Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Miller and family.
