observe Remembrance Day with a Service at the
CENOTAPH, VICTORIA PARK
on
Wednesday, November lith
at 10:45 a.m.
The Legion extends a cordial welcome to all School
Children, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Cubs, Councils of Sea.
forth, Tuckersmith and McKillop, all ether organizations,
and the general public, to join in the Service.
Representatives of Organizations who are pre-
senting Wreaths are asked to be at the Legion
Hall at 10:30 to pick up wreaths.
The parade. will leave the Legion Hall at 10:45, headed
by the Seaforth District High School Girls' Trumpet Band,
arriving at the Cenotaph at 10:50.

Retraction! The football game,
against Mitchell ended with a
score of 31-13 for us. Last
Thursday the boys also made
an impressive showing against
Exeter (13-6), in winning over a
team previously unbeaten in
four games. Allan Patterson
and Paul Rau each got touch-
downs. Peter Sillery caught a
pass convert. This Thursday is
the really big game, against

in the Library rooms on Fri-
day; Nov. 6, at 3:30 p.m.

Rev. Remi Durand officiated at
a ceremony at St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church, Dublin,
uniting Catherine Feeney, of
Kitchener, and Matthew Mur-
ray, RR 1, Dublin.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by William Feeney, Kit-
chener. She wore a royal blue
crepe dress with, matching lace
jacket, white accessories --and
pink rose corsage.
Attending the bride was Mrs.
Dan O'Rourke, Dublin, wearing
a rosewood brocade dress with
matching .accessories, and cor-
sage of beige and rose chrysan-
themums.
The groomsman was Dan
O'Rourke. Ushering was Leon-
ard Feeney, St. Marys. -
The dinner and reception was
held at the Zurich Hotel to 65
guests. For travelling to East-
ern Ontario, the bride donned
a beige brocade dress with fur
jacket. The couple will live in
McKillop Township, RR 1, • pub -
lin.
Guests were at the wedding
from Kitchener, St. Marys, To-
ronto, Stratford, London, De-
troit and Windsor.
The relatives of an eccentric
millionaire weregathered in
the office of the family Iawyer
as the will of the late magnate
was being read. Each leaped
forward as his name was called
and • his bequest announced.
Finally, only Stephen, the
spendthrift youngest, was left,
and he twitched nervously when
the lawyer 'called his name,
"To my nephew, Stephen
Brown," the attorney read,
"whom I promised to remem-
ber—Hi there, Stephen!"

Plans Activity
St. James' CWL met in the
school auditorium Tuesday. Mrs.
Frank Nigh, resident, opened
the meeting with prayer and a
hymn in honor of -the Sacred
Heart was sung. Mrs. Mel
Cooper, corresponding secre-
tary, read an invitation from
the CWL of Clinton RCAF to
attend a special meeting en
Nov. 18.
BRUCEFIELD
Boy $touts held their first
meeting last Friday night,, with
19 boys attending and one new
Scout. At least six more boys
are expected. They formed four
new patrol's; of these, a senior
patrol with eight boys. The
four patrols .are called Lion,
Eagle, Owl and Coyote.
Messengers Meet
The Brucefield Messengers
met' Sunday, when the Aiken
sisters were welcomed to the
group. -
The time was spent prepar-
ing for the Messenger family
program for November 15th.
First Brucefleld Cub Pack
The Cub leaders are Mrs. S.
Broadfoot, Mr. D. Aiken and L.
Ariano. Mr. Aiken is a new
leader, .and was previously the
Akela at a cub pack in Comox,
British Columbia.
The second meeting of the
Cub Pack was' held on Monday
night. There were 20 boys in
attendance. Six boys are new
chums and they are , working
hard to prepare for their in-
vestiture.
Weeping tears of outrage, the
lady driver' insisted she had giv-
en a turn signal before ler car
was struck by the man's.
"Look, lady;," said the man,
his patience ebbing. "I saw
your arm go up, then down,
then straight Out, then into cir-
cles. Are you telling me that's
a signal?"
"For heaven's sake," she re-
plied. "The first three signals
were wrong—didn't you see me
erase them?"
Members were encouraged to
continue the work for the
bazaar, also -to -return the -trav-
elling basket. Thanks was ex-
pressed to Alvin Regier for de-
livering a bale of clothing to
the St. Vincent de Paul Society,
London. Parish visitors for No-
vember are Mrs. Frank Rey-
nolds and Mrs. Art Devereaux.

to the Veterans' Christmas Fund
and to hold the December meet
ing and Christmas party on
December 10.
Mrs. John O'Brien, entertain-
ment convener, introduced Mrs.
Van Egmond,_ whohelps with
occupational therapy at the On-
tario Hospital, Goderich. She
told of her task to interest the
patient in something, such as
crafts, square dancing, bingos,
and sing -songs, in order to
speed up his recovery. Articles
of knitting, embroidery and
ceramics, made by the patients,
were displayed.
Mrs. Frank Reynolds thanked
Mrs. Van Egmond and present-
ed her with a gift. Mrs. Gerald
Groothius won the mystery
prize.
