Baskets of summer flowers
formed a lovely setting for the
marriage of Barbara 'Elaine,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arn-
old Scott, RR 1, Seaforth, and
Lawrence Aylmer Wesenburg,
son of Mr. George Wesenburg,
of Brussels, in Cavan United
Church, Winthrop, on Saturday,
July 11, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. J.
C. Britton officiated at the dou-
ble -ring ceremony. Mrs. John
Henderson, organist, played tra-
ditional' wedding music and ac-
companied the soloist, Miss Di-
anne Henderson, who sang "0
Perfect Love" and "The Wed-
ding Prayer."
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
strapless gown of crystaline
brocade with a full folded skirt
and an organza top, featuring
lily-poinf sleeves and a scoop
neckline. She carried a white
Bible crested with an orchid.
Mrs. Ronald McAllister, Sea -
forth, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor, and Miss
Marie Scott, sister of the bride,

ter oil the groom, were brides-
maids. ,The matron of honor
and bridesmaids wore pale blue
crystaline satin sheath dresses
with full organza overskirts, and
carried baskets of pink roses.
Floiuer girls, Debbie Tunney,
Seaforth, and ' Dianne Wesen-
burg, Brussels, wore frocks of
white orga za, and carried
nosegays of Bred roses.
Joseph Wesenburg, of Sea -
forth, was groomsman, and Lar-
ry Scott, Seaforth, and • Fred
Wesenburg, Brussels, were ush-
ers.
For travelling, the bride don-
ned a pale green flowered slik
sheath dress with a matching
duster, white accessories and a
corsage of mauve orchids. Fol-
lowing a trip to Northern On-
tario and the United States, Mr.
and Mrs. Wesenburg will live
in Seaforth.
Guests were present from

Guelph, Woodstock, Brodhagen,
Toronto, Brucefield and Sea -
forth.

Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full-
length gown of . white silk or-
ganza with a Iace over -jacket,
featurinfi three-quarter length
sleeves. Her shoulder -length
veil was held in place with a
lace band, - and she carried a
cascade of dark pink roses, ivy
and white ribbon. -'
Miss Patricia Drake was maid
of hopor for her sister, and
Miss:Annie Vandeworp, of Exe-
ter, and Mrs. Frank Elliott, of
Staffa, were bridesmaids. They
wore identical street -length
dresses of aqua colored silk
organza with matching head-
pieces, • and carried crescent
white carnations, edged in aqua
with white ribbons,
The groom's gift to the bride
was a drop pearl necklace with
earrings to match.
Mr. Jim Papple, brother .. of
the groom, was best man, and
guests were ushered by Mr.
Tom Papple, brother of the
groom, end Mr. • Frank Elliott,
of Staffa.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held in the
church parlor. The bride's
mother received guests in a
blue linen sheath dress with a
lace top, matching jacket, white
accessories and a pink rose
corsage. The, groom's mother
wore a beige lace 'sheath with
beige accessories and a eorsage
of yellow roses. Miss Linda
Papple, Mrs. Peter Pigeon, Mrs.
Carlyle Meikle, Miss Margaret
Wallace, Miss Noreen McMil-
lan, Miss Faye Little and Miss
Jean Bolger acted as waitress-
es.
The bride wore a blue sheath
dress with matching duster,
white accessories and a corsage
of yellow roses fbr a wedding
trip to. Northern Ontario. Up-
on their return, Mr'. and Mrs.
Papple will reside in Seaforth.
Guests were present from
Windsor, Sarnia, London, Brant-
ford, Zurich, Mensal, Seaforth,
Staffa, Cromarty, Blyth, Exeter
and Dttblin.

. Marriage vows were exchang-
ed in St. Patrick's Roman Cath-
olic Church, Dublin, on Satur-
day, July 11, at 10:30 a.m.; when
Anne Louise O'Rourke became
the bride of James Gerard
Sloan. The bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and'' Mrs. Wilfred
O'Rourke, RR 1, Dublin, and
the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James SIoan, of RR 5,
Seaforth. Rev. J. L. O'Rourke,
Stratford, officiated. Mrs. John
Nagle was organist, and the
soloist was Mrs. Thomas Kale.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor -
length gown' of silk peau de
faille. The bodice was fashion-
ed with elbow -length sleeves
and a high scoop neckline ap-
pliqued with motifs of French
Guipure lace. The slime line
sheath skirt was accented by a
medallion of matchinglace
flowers and featured a bouffant
overskirt from the sides, styled
with a banded bow at the waist
and sweeping chapel train, A
matching pillbox headdress of
Guipure,, lace over peau de faille
held ,her pure silk, hand -rolled
illusion veil. She carried a bou-
quet of pink Delight roses with
stephanotis.
Miss Eileen Q'Rourke, sister
or the: bride, was maid of honor,
and Mrs. Edward Rowland, sis-
ter of the bride, and Miss Mary,
Lou Johnston, Mildmay, were

bridesmaids: They ware simi-
lar floor -length gowns of spring
pink crystal charm, styled with
high scoop necklines, elbow-
lengtli sleeves, and semi -sheath
skirts. They wore matching
wedding ring headdresses, and
carried bouquets of white
mums.
The flowergirl was 'Miss San-
dra Sloan, niece of the. groom.
She wore a floor -length gown
of white, peau de faille with a
pink cummerbund and match-
ing pink headdress. A nosegay
of white mums and pink De-
light roses completed her en-
semble.
•The groom was attended , by
his brother, Gerald Sloan, of
Granton, as groomsman, and
guests were . ushered by Ed -
Rowland, Dublin, . and Patrick
Sloan, ,,brother of the groom, of
Collingwood. Master Michael
Rowland, nephew of the bride,
was ringbearer.
A reception was held at
Brodhagen Community Hall fol-
lowing the ceremony.
For as wedding trip to Eastern,
Ontario,,,the bride chose a pink
three-piece suit with' white ac-
cessories and a corsage of white
carnations. On their return they
will reside at RR 5, Seaforth.

Nancy Elizabeth Pepper be-
came the bride of William
Charles Millson in a ceremony
held in Egmondville United
Church on' Saturday, July 11,
at 12 noon. The Rev. John Var-
dy officiated at the double -ring
ceremony. The bride is the
daughter of .Mr. and Mrs. Alex-
ander G. Pepper, of RR 3, Sea -
forth, and the groom is the son
of Mrs. David Millson, of Kin -
burn.
Miss 'Carol Brown played .tra-
ditionaj wedding 'music and ac-
companied the soloist, Mr. F.
J. Murray, of Exeter, when he
sang "The Lord's Prayer", "The
Wedding Prayer" and "0 Per-
fect Love."
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a floor -
length gown of white organza
over peau de soie. The gown
featured a bouffant skirt ending
in a chapel train. A crown of
seed pearls, with crystal tear-
drops, held her shoulder -length
French illusion veil. She car-
ried yellow rosebuds. A cul-
tured pearl necklance and ear-
rings, gift of the groom, _com-
pleted her ensemble.
The bride was attended by
Mrs. Eric McIntosh, as matron
of honor, and Miss Maryanne
McLean and Miss Marlene Cole-
man, Walkerton, cousin of the
bride as bridesmaids. They
woreidentical dresses of yel-
low Bimberg organza over taf-
feta with French .lace inserts in
the controlled skirts. Their
headpieces were of matching
fabric roses with short veils,
and they carried small' baskets
of white daisies.
The flower girls, Elizabeth Mc-
Intosh, niece of the bride, and
Barbara Pepper, of Hamilton,
wore white dresses featuring
yellow sashes and matching yel-
low roses headpieces, and car-
ried' baskets of white' daisies.
Mr. Ross Millson, Sebring-
ville, brother of the groom, was
groomsman, and Mr. Eric Mc-
Intosh and Mr. Bob Wakefield,
London, cousin of . the gfoom,
were ushers. , The ringbearer
was Paul McIntosh, nephew of
the bride,
For a reception following in
the church parlors, the bride's
mother received in an ''aqua
chiffon dress with beige acces-
sories. A corsage of white ear-)
nations completed her ensem-
ble. The groom's mother chose
a blue flowered silk gown with
white accessories and a corsage
of white carnations.
For a wedding trip to the
west c"8ast the bride travelled
in a navy blue crepe dress with
white lace sleeves, white straw
hat- and navy accessories.' A
corsage of pink carnations com-
pleted her ensemble.
Guests were present from

ringville, Walkerton, Dashwood,
Arkona, Parkhill, Toronto, Wy-
oming, Varna and Clinton. Mr.
and Mrs. Millson will reside in
Kinburn.

ding , music.
Given ' in marriage by her
father ,the bride wore a full-
length gown . of brocaded -lace
over taffeta, featuring diamond-
shaped sleeves and a scooped
neckline designed with tiny
seed pearls. A crown of pearls
held her shoulder -length veil,
and she carried a bouquet of red
baby roses.
Maid of honor, Miss Karen
Kerr, Seaforth, and ,the brides-
maid, Miss Linda Powell, Sea -
forth, wore identical gowns of
light aqua sata-peau with back
panels of white brocaded lace,
and carried aqua -tinted white
mums.
Mr. Cleriden Kerr, Hamilton,
was best man, and guests were
ushered by Mr.. Ken McClure,
Walton.
For travelling to the Maritime'
provinces, the bride wore a
flowered yellow silk dress with
white accessories and a corsage
of yellow roses. Upon their re-
turn Mr, and Mrs. Kerr Will
reside in Seaforth.

On Saturday, June 20, 1964,
at 11 o'clock, Rev. John Poreda
officiated at Sacred Heart R.C.
Church, Kitchener, for the dou-
ble ring ceremony of Marion
Shirley May, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Horner, and
Edward James Holdenmeyer,
son of Mrs. Joseph Holdenmeyer
,and the late Mr. Holdenmeyer,
all of Kitchener.
The church was beautifully
decorated with. baskets of white
and yellowmums, ferns and
candelabra, The wedding int/s-
ic was played by Sister Astella.
Mrs. Reg SelIener sang "On
This Day", "0 Promise Me",
and "Ave Marie" during the
ceremony.
Given in marria e- by her
father, the bride w' re a hoop-
ed gown or Chantil lace over
satin. The cotillion,- model was
styled with a bouffant skirt„
shaping toe chapel train with
-scalloped hemline, falling from
a dropped waistline accented
with lace rosettes. Her diadem
headpiece, wedding 'cake tiered
in crystal and tiny pearls, held
a full -tiered bouffant veil. She
carried a white rosary cascade
of red Sweetheart roses, extend-
ing lone knots, holding Sweet-
hearts.,
The matron of honor was
Mrs. Edward Niedzwiedz, of Kit-
chener, who Wore a ballerina
length copen blue gown in silk
organza, ' fitted bodice, brief
sleeves, sheath, aiirt worn with
floor -length oI is irt. Her bou-
quet consisted of white rosary
cascade of pink Sweetheart ros-
es extending Iolte knots, hold-
ing Sweetheart
Bridesmaids Stephany Hold-
enmeyer, Of Kitchener, a sister
of the groom, Sandra Hugill, of
Seaforth, a cousin of the bride,
and Mary Hunsberger of Bridge-
port, were in powder ' blue
gowns, identical to' the matron
of honor.

Debbie Ruston, of Stratford,
junior bridesmaid, was gowned
similarly. Flower girl,_ Carol
Ruston, cousin of the bride,
wore a floor -length gown of
Chantilly lace with collapsed
neckline. Her headpiece, tiered
in crystal and tiny pearls and
full bouffant veil. She carried a
cascade of red roses, similar
to the bride's. •
Jimmy Goldbeck, of Kitchen-
er, a nephew of the groom,
dressed in white suit, was ring -
bearer.
The best man Was John
Logozny, ,pf Waterloo, and ush-
ers were' Gerald Horner, bro-
ther of •the bride, and Ronald
Pletch and Edward Niedzwiedz,
all of Kitchener. Junior usher
was Robert Goldbeck, of Kitch-
ener, a nephew of the groom.
A wedding supper and recep-
tion for 400 guests was held at
the Transylvania Club, where
the bride's mother greeted the
guests, wearing a street-lngth
pencil slim sheath, of pink orch-
id pure silk organza, embroid-
ered with silk thread in a cres-
cent design. The, dress featur-
d short cap sleeves and a scoop
neckline. The lovely ensemble
was highlighted with a corsage
of bright red roses, and conf-
plemented by a pink organza hat
with white _ accessories. The
bridegroom's mother wore a
powder blue lace sheath with
white accessories, and a red
rose corsage.
For a honeymoon to bespent
in Arizona and California, the
bride travelled in a pink suit
and hat with navy accessories..
She wore a mauve orchid cor-
sage.'
Guests attended the wedding
from Ohio, Detroit, Varna, Clin-
ton, Seaforth, Kippehh, Stratford,
St. Marys, Shakespeare, Toron-
to, Hamilton, St. Catharines and
Kitchener area.
The Couple .will reside in
their new home, 45 Sweetbrier
Drive, Kitchener.
