IN HOME .IMPROVEMENT PLAN.
If you are the average
home -owner you undoubtedly
have ideas concerning improve-
ments to your .property. But,
perhaps, •you can't proceed be-
yond the planning stage„ be-
cause of financing problems. If
this is the case, a. visit to your
bank and a -discussion iwtth th .
manager concerning NHA home
improvement loans may be the
solution.
Home -owners throughout Can-
ada have taken advantage of
theseloans guaranteed by the
Federal government, under Sec-
tion 24 of• the National Housing
Act, to finance over 100 million
dollarsin home improvements
since 1955. Features of the'" loan
are the wide variety of work
which may be financed, the

British Mortgage
Sets Opening For
St. Marys Branch
A modern office will replace
one of St. Marys oldest busi-
ness properties when British
Mortgage & Trust opens its
doors officially for business on
Friday, in its new location on
the - corner of Wellington and
Queen Streets. On -the site of
one of the early pioneer 'hotels,
the White •& May Department
Store occupied the property for
over 100 years. British Mort-
gage purchased it in 1962, and,
as renovation of the building
was impractical, the building
was razed and a fine new Iwo -
storey office constructed on the
site.
The new St. Marys branch
office will provide financial and
trust services to meet the needs
of individuals, young and old,
families, organizations and busi-
nesses.
