A Pound Patrol Birthday Party was recently held as a fundraiser for Lucknow Pet Rescue.
Lucknow Pet Rescue busy with events to support care bills for cats and dogs
Pet Rescue held their
annual BBQ at Sobey's Kin-
cardine Sept. 16th and 17th
to raise funds for the vet and
supply bills for the more
than 50 cats and kittens and
25 dogs and pups in their
care.
They also had a Pound
Patrol Birthday Party and
have three mascots available
for hire for events. All funds
raised will help the homeless
pets.
The rescue provides all
vaccines, parasite preven-
tion, microchips, spay/neu-
ter, and any other care
needed such as skin/ear/
eye/dental issues.
The cost of the vetting is
often less than the adoption
fee and in most cases only a
mere fraction of the
expenses incurred.
The rescue also provides all
the food, and supplies to the
foster homes caring for the
animals while they await their
forever homes, these supplies
include items such as collars
and tags for dogs, litter pans
and cat trees for cats.
They also supply the crates
and carriers - and are in
need of them. They have
many that are broken or
missing pieces. They would
happily accept used carriers
in need of parts, or carriers
and crates in usable condi-
tion. Guinea pig cages are
also useful for housing
homeless kittens.
The dogs are in foster
homes. They are often used
to other dogs, and some-
times also living with cats
and kids.
Many of the cats are in fos-
ter homes. Most are used to
dogs.
Cat and kitten fosters are
always needed.
The rescue prides itself on
ensuring the dog or cat is
placed in a suitable home
and that the applicant gets
the best match for their
home, and family.

begins with an application
and proceeds to a home
visit, then an adoption from
the foster home.
