M MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST The Kincardine News and Lucknow Sentinel are looking for a full-time multimedia journalist. The News and Sentinel are a two -person newsroom ideal for a candidate with a broad range of interests and abilities. Writing, photography, web -based news presentation and social media engagement are all part of the job. The News serves both the Municipality of Kincardine and Township of Huron -Kinloss - two thriving southern Bruce County communities on the Lake Huron shoreline that are also home to Bruce Power - with a weekly newspaper and news website. The Sentinel serves Huron -Kinloss Township, parts of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township and the surrounding areas. Job Duties/Qualifications: • Energetic reporter with excellent writing and interviewing skills. • Self-starter, willing and able to generate his/her own ideas for both spot news and feature stories. • Able to work flexible hours to cover various events and breaking news, including evenings and weekends. • Strong interest in a variety of areas, including hard news reporting, feature stories, entertainment and more. • Comfortable with photography, photo editing and posting content to the web. • Applicants should own a reliable vehicle and camera.
