LUCKNOW NEWS Lucknow women excel at trivia at St. Paul's Church in Wingham A number of people from Lucknow recently attended the trivia night held at St. Paul's - Trinity Anglican Church in Wingham. In fact our team from Luc - know and Belgrave consisting of Joan Robinson (Queen Eliza- beth II), Pat Morris (Britannia), Nancy Jardin (St. Mother The- resa), and yours truly (Queen Boudicca), won for best cos- tumes as the Women of Power. We also came in 2nd after two tie breaking trivia ques- tions. So congratulations to us and all the other trivia players who came out for the night. As of this writing, Canada was doing well in the World Cup of Hockey tournament and hoping to take the win from Europe on home territory. Now if we can just get the Jays to play us into the World Series, I'll be a happy woman. Happy 93rd birthday to Mary Boyle who celebrated recently. We wish you many more happy birthdays Mary. The Lucknow Rumoli Club met recently for our usual fun evening of getting together to enjoy food, gossip and the playing of Rumoli. We debated whether or not we were ille- gally gambling, because pen- nies are no longer legal tender in Canada. Our philosophical discussions are often very esoterical. Your truly recently attended a Red Hat Queens Council meeting for Grey -Bruce and area. We met at the Piper's Glen Golf and Country Club near Port Elgin where we enjoyed a lovely lunch and had a guest speaker was Optometrist Dr. Kristen Robinson who spoke about "Eyes and the aging per- son': She was very informative and answered many of our questions and concerns about eyes. We also discussed the great success of our recent Fall Fling near Mildmay and made plans for the spring Queens Council meeting and the 2017 Fall Fling. This past weekend the Kings- bridge Centre was rocking with sounds of "The Pleats" who entertained with a variety of genres to the delight of the grateful audience.
