Kittens that grow up still need to be adopted from Lucknow's Adopt -a -Pet Pet Rescue.
Pet Rescue reminds
residents that many kittens
become cats to be adopted
Monty and Mischa, and Amber and
Keegan are two pairs of last years kittens
that were not adopted.
They were more shy than their sib-
lings and were not chosen.
The second strike for Monty and
Mischa is that they are black, and the
siblings are grey tabby.
Black cats are often overlooked.
Amber and Keegan are beautiful
orange tabbies.
Everyone wants a cuddly kitten right
off the bat and when you are born on
the streets like theywere, or impounded
by animal control when found dis-
carded, like Monty and Mischa it takes
time to learn to trust people.
They have all thrived in foster care and
are coming around for attention now.
Monty and Mischa even snuggle with
their foster parents and their cats and dogs.
They were vaccinated with the
combo/leukemia/rabies, dewormed,
fixed, chipped, and boostered.
The adoption fee for cats is $175,
however in an incentive to keep
bonded pairs together the rescue is
reducing the fee to $200 for both.
There is also Tony who came in a year
ago with his two brothers, who have
since been adopted. He loves everyone.
He is black with some white.
Pet Rescue has newborn orphaned
kittens, kittens that are being raised by
their Mom, kittens from this summer,
and many cats of varied ages.
The process to adopt begins with
completing an application online at
www. adoptap et.lucknow. on. ca
E-mail any questions to petrescue@
hurontel.on.ca
They will match you with an appro-
priate cat or kitten for your home and
family members.
Please consider adoption today.
There are no spaces for new intakes of
cats - adoptions need to happen in
order for them to take on others in need.
As any pet lover knows, the $175 fee
does not begin to cover half of the costs
for vetting alone.
