Kincardine Community Singers 'Christmas on Broadway' runs Dec 10-11
This year's theme is

for the Kincardine Commu-
nity Singers Christmas con-
certs on Dec. 10-11, 2016.
The Saturday Dec. 10 con-
cert starts at 3 p.m., and the
Sunday performance at 7:30
p.m. at Knox Church in
Kincardine.
"Christmas on Broadway,'
but the Choir will also be
performing a number of tra-
ditional Christmas carols,
some of them with a new
twist.
The range of Christmas
music extends from
"Rockin Jerusalem" to
"Sanctus" and an a cappella
version of "Angels Singin
Glory," From the Broadway
stage there will be such
favourites as "White Christ-
mas," "It's Beginning to
look like Christmas," "My
Favourite Things" and
many more.
Tickets are $15 for adults
and #$5 for children under
12 and can be purchased at
Jerome's Flowers in Kincar-
dine, from any of the Choir
members, or on line at Kin-
cardineCommunitySingers.

two small business roundta-
ble discussions in the riding
on Nov 28.
The intent of the events
will be for Thompson to hear
from the community about
what challenges and issues
local businesses and indus-
try are facing.
"Conversations such as
these are invaluable when
it comes to finding new
ideas and approaches to
tackling restrictive regula-
tions, red tape and the
duplication of efforts, and
I'm looking forward to
sharing our findings back
at Queen's Park," said
Thompson in a media
release.
The first meeting will take
place at the REACH Centre
in Clinton from 10:30 a.m. to
12 p.m., with the second
held at The Plex in Port Elgin
from 4:30-6 p.m.
Joining Thompson in Clin-
ton and Port Elgin will be
special guest Vic Fedeli
(MPP for Nipissing).
"Our small businesses are
vital to the prosperity and
growth of our communities,
especially in rural Ontario,"
said Thompson. "We want
to ensure that the concerns
of the community with
respect to local industry are
heard so that we can help to
create a landscape where
entrepreneurship, innova-
tion and prosperity can
flourish."

What a beautiful week of
great weather we've had,
looks like lots of folks got
some Christmas decorating
done before reality set in on
Saturday with the snow com-
ing on.

of meetings for year end
activities. Ripley And District
Horticulture Society Christ-
mas meeting was on
Wednesday with another
delicious potluck lunch at
the Ripley Huron commu-
nity centre.

Eisen who received the Dis-
trict Youth Award presented
by Sharon Nivins District
Director and to Shirley Har-
ris who received the Royal
Bank Award for most points
at the Flower Show and also
the Presidents Award.

Club held their annual meet-

on Friday. Speaker was Dr.

ist and Management Con-
sultant. Members also
reviewed and updated their
constitution and elected
directors and executive for
the upcoming year.
On Nov 18 about 70 peo-
ple attended the Ripley area
4-H clubs Awards Night at
the Ripley Huron Commu-
nity School. Members of the
Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Vet, Con-
servation and Curling clubs
received their Ontario
Awards and club achieve-
ment awards. Congratula-
tions to everyone and espe-
cially those 4-H leaders and
the sponsors who provide
opportunities for our young
people to develop life and
leadership skills!

help of Lorusso School of Dance and DJ Ryan Berry. The event was put on toto raise money
for schoolyard improvements.
