The moon looked bigger as it was closest to earth in its elliptical orbit. The size of the moon does not actually change. This is technically called the perigy-syzygy, say that fast three times. We won't see another until the year 2034. Happy late 50th wedding anniversary to Marg and Wayne Stanley who celebrated with their family recently. We wish them many more. Happy 90th birthday to Fred Young who will be celebrating this coming Saturday with fam- ily and friends, many happy returns Fred. Our own Mike O'Neill will be at the Lucknow Library this Fri- day from 1-3:30 p.m. where you can buy his books, have a con- versation and enjoy some refreshments with Mike. Coming soon to the HAWK Theatre is their Christmas pro- duction of The Wizard of Oz, it should be good, so get your tickets soon before they're sold out. The Santa Claus Parade will be here in town this Friday at 7 p.m. and we hope it will be well attended. Don't forget that Santa and Mrs. C. always end up at the arena to greet the children and hand out goodies. Don't forget the Mitten Tree at the Sentinel office, all mit- tens, scarves, hats, etc., will be taken to the Salvation Army to be included in the Christmas packages and are gratefully received. The Lucknow Sepoy Ranees met last week and travelled to Blyth for lunch at the hotel, which we enjoyed very much. Some of us, spent some extra time checking out the stores in Blyth before we headed home for the day. Sympathies of the commu- nity to the family of Donalda Slater, 95. Lucknow (formerly Ripley and Point Clark).
