After over two months of
rehearsing its production of
Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, the
Kincardine Theatre Guild is
ready and excited about its
opening night, Nov. 17.
Costumes have been cre-
ated, songs have been prac-
tised, the set has been painted,
the lights and sounds have
been programmed into the
computers, actors have been
blocked into positions and all
the hand props and furniture
organized and planned.
Choreography is also a
large part of Joseph.
The three choreographers,
Leise Peddie, Mary Neill and
Sandy Brown, have worked tire-
lessly to teach and polish the
moves and dances on stage.
Their work included teaching
dances and movements to sin-
gles, pairs, small groups or four
and eight, and all the way up to
the whole company of about 55
participants.
This is a daunting task since
the KTG troupe consists of
various ages of persons with
various abilities and back-
grounds of dance experience.
The actors have been very
positive in wanting to learn
the dance moves and have
been keen when going
through the numerous prac-
tices of those movements.
It was sometimes difficult
getting the hands and feet
coordinated but the chore-
ographers are proud of all
that has been accomplished
by this total group on stage.
Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat is a
family show that is a feast for
your eyes and spirit.
This upbeat, fun produc-
tion should not to be missed.
Tickets are selling very
well and some performances
are almost sold out.
Get your tickets at J'Adorn
on Queen St or call the box
office, 519-396-9000. GO,
GO, GO JOSEPH!
