Obituaries Obituaries DORE, Kenneth James - of Ripley and formerly of Lucknow, passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, October 24, 2016 at age 55. Dearly missed by his mother Opal Dore, and brothers Carl, Delbert and Perrin and their families. Predeceased by his father Claude Dore. Cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends was held at the family farm (900 Langside Rd.) on Saturday, October 29, 2016 beginning at 2 PM. A graveside committal service will be conducted at the Langside Cemetery on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11 AM. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your own choice are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences online at www.mackenzieandmccreath.com Obituaries Obituaries REAVIE, Stuart - beloved husband of Deanna Reavie (Carlaw), of Lucknow, passed away peacefully at the Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2016 at age 73, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 7, 1942 in Toronto to the late Earland (Howe) and Elymer Reavie. Loving father of Brian Reavie (Karen Anderson) of Calgary and Peter (Jackie) Reavie of Australia. Also greatly missed by grandchildren Hamish, Alina and Lucas and sister Bessie Stanley of London. Predeceased by sister Marian Duthie. Stuart served as a councillor and reeve of Lucknow before the village was amalgamated in 1999. That year, he was elected the first mayor of the new Township of Huron -Kinloss. He also served as Warden of Bruce County for three terms, retiring from politics in 2003. In addition, he owned and operated Reavie Farm Equipment in Lucknow for 32 years. He was also a former member of both the Lucknow Lions Club and Fire Department as well as the Masonic Lodge, served on the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation board, and was an active member of the Lucknow United Church. In retirement Stuart maintained a keen interest in his community and local agriculture. He continued to enjoy tractor pulls and collecting toy farm equipment. Visitation was held at the MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow on Monday October 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service from the Lucknow United Church was conducted on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 1 PM with Rev. Lynne Wilson officiating. Pallbearers were Chuck Becker, Bob Cottrill, Doug Goodfellow, Tom Helm, Keith Hodgkinson and Tracy Tyler. Interment Ripley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wingham Hospital or the Lucknow United Church were greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
