Beloved wife of the late Keith Merwin Hackett (2007). Passed away peacefully on Friday April 8, 2016, at the home of her son Ian and Shirley Hackett of Oshawa, after a six month battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by her children, Brian and (Fran Oliveira) of Orangeville; Craig and (Pat McNichol) of Washington State, USA; Ian and (Shirley McDonald) of Oshawa; Carol and (Paul Fryer) of Brampton. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Peter, Ken, Jeff (Carolyn Hoye), Denise (JD Hagbo), Karen (Michael Walsh), Andrew (Kimberly Kish), David (Vicky Quinn), Stephen(Kate Cope); step -grandchild Ali, and two great- grandchildren Samuel and Kaitlyn. Survived by brothers John V Mills (Phyllis); Ron Mills (Denise); sister Joan (Colin Wellum); brother in law Eric Hackett, Lucknow. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Douglas Hackett, Lucknow; Midford Wall, Teeswater; sisters-in-law Irlma (Hackett) Wall, Teeswater; and Helen (Gammie) Hackett, Lucknow. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 11, 2016, at her church Hilltop Chapel, Etobicoke; with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto.
