Lucknow and area is a
much cleaner place thanks to
the efforts of many last week.
On April 26, 2016 the Luc -
know & District Kinsmen
Club did their annual Adopt -
a -Highway project on Huron
County Road One south of
town ending at Glen's Hill
Road.
Then, on April 28, the Luc -
know & District Lions Club,
assisted by a number of
grandchildren, did their
Adopt -a -Highway debris
pickup on Bruce County Road
One north to Holyrood.
That same Thursday even-
ing saw the Lucknow and
District Chamber of Com-
merce out doing their
annual Pitch -In Canada pro-
ject in the Village of Luc -
know. They had the help of
both the Lucknow Guiding
and Scouting Associations
alongside some interested
members of the public.
This was the 17th year the
COC has spearheaded up
the Pitch -In campaign
locally.
The combined volunteer
work of these organizations
has made Lucknow and area
a more attractive location
through their community
betterment work.
It is their hope that citizens
make a strong effort to keep
Lucknow a clean and attractive
destination to stop and shop.
