Red Hats honour Queen Elizabeth on turning 90 Darryl Coote Reporter Over two dozen ladies from the local Red Hat Soci- ety, the Lucknow Sepoy Ranees, held an afternoon tea on June 16, 2016, in hon- our of Queen Elizabeth II turning 90. In the small basement of the Lucknow Town Hall, ladies in their Sunday bests and of course red hats cele- brated the reigning Queen with tea and food. Special guest of the day was Lady Patricia Tait -Morris, who acted as the Queen's stand-in, and cut the birthday cake. Though a Lucknow resident, she a Lady from Glencoe, Scotland. Three golfers tied for fist in "A" flight with 21 points - Wayne Farrell, Dave Cooper and Kent Schaefer. Skins were won by Tom Pegg, Wayne Farrell and Blake Mackey. Doug Harris won "B" with 21 points and Noel MacIntosh, Martin Mooy and Doug Gauthier tied for second with 19 points. Skins were won by Doug Harris and Martin Mooy. Dave Mennie and Tom Kittel tied with 25 points in "C': Dave Mennie took all the skin money in "C". Closest to the pin winners were Dave Mennie, Bill King, Dave Evans, John Cooper, Kent Schaefer and Spencer Montgomery. Lady Patricia Tait -Morris was the afternoon's honourary guest who acted on the Queen's behalf and cut her Majesty's birthday cake. KEN & LOIS CHAPUT will be celebrating their 60''" WEDDING ANNIVERSARY on June 30''°. They will be travelling to Ottawa by bus to take part in the Canada Day Celebration.
