KSMF's Broadsway' hits the stage this Friday, June 17 Bruce Power post-
secondary scholarship
program now open

The answer is: "BROAD -
SWAY" which takes place
Friday June 17, 7:30 p.m. at
the Knox Presbyterian
Church as part of the Kincar-
dine Summer Music Festival
Anniversary Concert Series
Heather Bambrick, Diane
Leah and Julie Michels are
all very busy women, work-
ing in a number of projects
and musical genres. It's this
degree of exciting musical
energy that brought them
together, and helped them
create a show that is eclectic,
funny, and very, very
musical.
Julie and Heather (also
host of "Wake Up ... " on
JAZZ.FM91) are both
acclaimed Jazz performers,
and Diane is a Dora Mayor
Moore Award nominated
Music Director, pianist and
arranger.

For the sixth consecutive
year, Bruce Power has
launched a $50,000 scholar-
ship program aimed at stu-
dents pursuing post -second-
ary education in Bruce, Grey
and Huron counties.
Students who are enrolled
in a skilled -trade, college or
university for the 2016/17
academic year are invited to
apply for one of 100, $500
scholarships.
"Education opens so
many doors for people and,
as the region's largest
employer, we feel a responsi-
bility to encourage and sup-
port our youth in pursuing
post -secondary education,"
said James Scongack, Bruce
Power's Vice President of
Corporate Affairs.
The scholarship program,
which builds on existing
Bruce Power commence-
ment awards for Grade 8
and high school graduates,
as well as two scholarships
for Aboriginal students,
exemplifies the company's
commitment to youth
development and educa-
tion. There are no limita-
tions on areas of study and
some special considerations
are in place to ensure a
broad reach and diverse
group have the opportunity
to reach their goals. The
program's aim is to reach as
many students as possible
with a one-time monetary
pledge of support during
their academic studies.
"We hope that by provid-
ing financial assistance to
local students, we help them
to achieve their educational
goals," Scongack added.
In 2016, Bruce Power will
invest $100,000 in scholar-
ships and commencement
awards for students through-
out our region. To apply for

period is now open, with a
deadline of July 8 at 3 p.m.
