Committee seeks help in identifying
soldier, as book nears completion
Debbie Bauer
East Ashfield History Book
Committee
The East Ashfield History
book committee is deep into
the final push to have this book
published in 2017 in time for
Canada's 150th.
The deadline for submis-
sions to the East Ashfield His-
tory Book of Jan. 1, 2016 has
come and gone.
The committee is still in
need of information, photos
and updates however. We ask
that you get in touch with one
of our contacts listed below as
soon as you can. We plan to
have an open house late spring
or early summer so everyone
will have an opportunity, prior
to publication, to make correc-
tions reduce omissions and a
last chance to submit those
wonderful family photos. The
open house will be your final
opportunity and invitation to
submit information on your
family or farm but you don't
have to wait until then.
You can find photos we
need identified and an
updated list of families we
need information on at www.
acwtownship.ca (type Ashfield
History Book into the Search
window) there may also be
others we haven't discovered.
Please make sure you are
included.
A particular area where
information is needed is on
personnel who served post
1945. If you know of any resi-
dents of East Ashfield, past or
present, who served or are
serving in the military please
contact Karen Webster 519-
357-4935 or email her at karen-
webs@hurontel.on.ca
While the last plea for help
did glean one new volunteer,
the committee still needs your

more than 200 women.
Based on dozens of inter-
views Ensler conducted with
women, the play addresses
women's sexuality and the
social stigma surrounding rape
and abuse, creating a new con-
versation about and with
women. It is a testimonial of
women's experiences on their
journey through sexual
discovery.
These women share their
most intimate desires and fears
in a backdrop of humor, heart-
break and sometimes violence.
Monologues like "My Short
Skirt, 'Because he liked to look
at it,' and "My vagina was my
