"So it's kind of nice to be able to have this day in my hometown, and be apart of it in my hometown and plan it. And put on for the younger girls so they can eventually step up and do it too." McDonagh said the Leg- ends don't have an intermit- tent -level team, which is where they pull from, and this problem of too few play- ers to make a team is being faced by women's hockey leagues throughout the area. "There's been amalgama- tion for a lot of the girls teams through Wingham and Luc - know. They're coming together to get the numbers to be able to even play," she said. However, they hope this game will attack new girls to the sport and those already in it to continue into adulthood, if not just for their sake, then for the sake of the Legends. "We have to have the inter- est from the girls to keep the Legends going," McDonagh said.
