Slow start, bad penalties hurt Lancers in loss
Dickie Dunn
Lucknow Lancers
Lucknow's boys in red had
their hands full up against a
rejuvenated Crusher club.
Two quick goals for the bad
guys put the Lancers down
early. The teams traded goals
ending the opening frame with
a score 3-1 for Shallow Lake.
Things got a little chippy in
the second, starting with a skir-
mish in the first shift. 10

minutes misconducts were
handed out at will to both
teams. The game just began to
slip away from the Lancers,
especially on special teams.
Two shorthanded goals on the
same power play put the game
out of reach.
Steve Simpson wasn't
pleased with his team's lack of
discipline,
"Penalties hurt us tonight,
it's something we've been try-
ing to avoid and you can see
why tonight."
The Lancers have two games
next weekend. They travel up to
Durham Friday night to play
the Thundercats. Then they
come back home for their final
home game of the regular
season against the Winter -
hawks of Saugeen Shores.
Puck drop will be at 7:30
p.m.
