Bluewater board
receives over
100 responses
to survey
Mary Golem
Special to Postmedia
One hundred responses
have been received to date
by the Bluewater District
School Board to its special
on-line survey about ser-
vices to students with spe-
cial education needs,
superintendent of educa-
tion Alana Murray told
trustees at a meeting earlier
this week.
"It's important that par-
ents use this opportunity to
tell us what they think,"
trustee Jim Dawson, and
long time of the board's
special education advisory
committee (SEAC), said.
The Special Education
Needs Assessment - Parent
Survey is available on the
board's website at the fol-
lowing link: www.bwdsb.
on. ca/ stsery/Parent_Survey
The survey was
designed by SEAC to seek
input from parents and
guardians whose children
have access to special
education programs and
services through an IEP
(individual education
plan). The board wants to
hear from those affected
how to improve upon the
delivery of services
offered.
The survey will be avail-
able on the board's web-
site until January 22. All
responses are anonymous
unless a participant
chooses to provide their
name.
Survey results will be
collated by board staff and
shared with SEAC and the
rest of the trustees at a
meeting in the near future.
