Goals later by Nic Gowing and Chad Simpson put the Lancers up 3-0 after the open frame. The second period was all Ben Dorscht. The Luc - know netminder stood on his head keeping the defending AA' champs scoreless. He was no way immune to any physical abuse, including a high stick that made Dorscht lose his lunch in the crease. No matter the pressure, Dorscht stopped 34 out of the 35 shots he faced. Evan Ducharme, Rick Andrew, and Tanner Simpson again put the game out of reach, resulting in a 6-1 victory for the knights in red. Coach Cal McDonagh was certainly pleased with his team's effort, "The boys came out flying right off the hop. Getting that quick one early against a really good goaltender really lit a fire on the bench, and we just kept pouringiton:' Hockey scores Saturday Feb. 6 Luclmowvs. South Bruce -12-3 Colton Maki (5G, 1A), Graydon McNee (3G), Alexis Greig (1G, 2A), Brody Gibson (2G, 3A), Ewan John- ston (1G, 3A), Dylan McNeil (1A), Kolby Donaldson (1A), WyattFrey(1A), Kayla Drennan (1A), Kaleb Donaldson (1A) Tyke Tournament in Arthur on Sunday Feb. 7 Lucknow vs. Hanover - 5-8 Player of the Game: Graydon McNee Luc - know vs. Twin Centre - 20-0 Player of the Game: KolbyDon- aldson Lucknowvs. Waterloo - 11-0 Player of the Game: Brayden Curran Great games played by all team members! •Lucknow 11 vs South Bruce 3 in Lucknow Feb 6, 2016 Goals - Marlee Courtney (3), Nolan Moffat (3), Blake Dalton (3), Morgan Rintoul (1), Kevin Scott (1) Assists by Kyle McGee, Deklan Fenton, Brett McGee, Joel Cranston, Kevin Scott, Mar - lee Courtney, Morgan Rintoul, Nolan Moffat, Sam Donnelly, Blake Dalton. •Lucknow Sepoys Peewee Development Team Saturday, Jan. 2 - Goder- ich#2 5 - Lucknow 1 Goals: Coye Edgar Assists: Lane Edgar, Dallas Donaldson Saturday, Jan. 9 - Ripley 7 - Lucknow 3 Goals: Lane Edgar (2), Coby Schumacker Assists: Coby Schumacker, Damian Donaldson, Cody Moffat, Coye Edgar, Easton Stanley Wednesday, Jan. 13 - Ripley 8 - Lucknow 2 Goals: Easton Stanley, Lane Edgar Assists: Lane Edgar, Easton Stanley, Jacob Smith, Eric Rintoul South Bruce Peewee Local League Toumament Saturday, Jan. 30 - Game 1 - South Bruce 4 - Lucknow 1 Goals: Lane Edgar Player of the Game: Tyler McDougall Game 2 - Lucknow 5 - Howick 2 Goals: Lane Edgar (3), Coye Edgar, Will Davey Assists: Easton Stanley (2), Lane Edgar, Damian Donald- son, Will Davey Player of the Game: Lane Edgar Game 3 - Shallow Lake 8 - Lucknow 2 Goals: Coye Edgar, Easton Stanley Assists: Lane Edgar Player of the Game: Coye Edgar Saturday, Feb. 6 Goder- ich#1 7 - Lucknow 0 This ends the regular sea- son. Legends wrap regular season, enter playoffs Missy Kuik Lucknow Legends The Lucknow Legends travelled to Stratford Feb. 6 to wrap up their regular season. It was a hard fought battle with the Legends falling behind in the second by one, Maggie Young set up Katie Feagan to even up the score. Once again the Leg- ends would find themselves down by one in the third, however Young would strike again, setting up Dianne Bushell. In a scramble in Stratford's end, Dru Austin would dig out the puck to Justine Hart to get the go ahead goal. Feagan would take advantage of an empty net with a pass from Bushell to end the game. Terri Allen was absolutely stellar in net, keeping the Legends in the game. The Legends now await to see who they will play in the first round of playoffs.
