Cargill residents claim $100,000 Encore lottery prize Lindsay and Georges The- odule of Cargill took home $100,000 on their numbers from the July 15, 2016 Lotto Max Encore. The pair matched six of seven winning numbers on their ENCORE selection. "I'm usually the one who buys the lottery tickets and Georges is the one who checks them," said Lindsay while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where the pair picked up their win- nings. "But not this time," added Georges. Georges was helping his father-in-law change a tire, so the couple broke from tradition and Lindsay headed to the store instead to find out whether they had a winning ticket "I was picking up some snacks and cold drinks from the store and I quickly stopped by the ticket checker, figuring it probably wasn't a winner. Instead, I saw, 'Big Winner - $100,000' flash on the screen:' Lindsay quickly signed the ticket and asked the retailer to validate it. "The retailer asked me if I had a winner and I said, 'I don't know, you tell me?' When the retailer validated the ticket, the terminal froze. That's when I knew I won some- thing° Lindsay headed home to share the good news Georges. "I kept beeping my horn as I drove up the driveway. Georges came out to see what was wrong but nothingwaswrong. Everything was exactly right!" "Lindsay and I were married young so we started out with very little," said Georges. "Today, we have four beautiful children and we want to spend our money and time with them. Plus, Lindsay just started her own business so this will help give her that boost. Wi- ning the lottery is like a 'do - over: A new opportunity to live our lives stress free" concluded the pair, ENCORE can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day. The winning ticket was pur- chased at Mac's on Yonge Street in Walkerton. Lindsay is also the former multimedia sales represent- ative at the Kincardine News and Lucknow Sentinel.
