The Dungannon Little Country Fair saw sunny skies and good crowds out at the fairgrounds during the Aug. 5-7, 2016 event. From the horse show, to the bike parade, waterslide inflatables, antique vehicles, pedal
tractor pulls and more, the Dungannon Agricultural Society event was a success and fun for all involved. PICTURED: John Pentland and Luke Hendriks give their all during the log sawing event.
Sunny skies and smiles at Dungannon Little Country Fair
The Dungannon Little
Country Fair showcased a
variety of what small-town
fairs are all about during the
Aug. 5-7, 2016 event.
Organized by the Dungan-
non Agricultural Society, the
event saw sunny skies at the
fairgrounds and many smiles
from people across northern
Huron and southern Bruce
counties.
Children had a chance to
have faces painted, take part
in activities like the bike
parade, pedal tractor pull
and log sawing for older kids.
The horse show was a
popular site, with athletes
and their animal counter-
parts showcasing their
skills.
The Lucknow Lions pro-
vided food and drink to
many participants of events
who took part, with many
people walking away with
prize ribbons, or some just
for 'trying their best:
A poultry show also gave
people a chance to see some
prized birds up close.
The truck and car show
saw a variety of vintage rides,
shiny transport trucks and a
few 'horseless carriages'
from the time of early motor
transport.
The event kicked off Friday
and Saturday with a dance
and movie night, and
wrapped up with a pork
shop dinner put on by the
local church Sunday
afternoon.
