There was an exceptionally
large crowd at the final Legion
(bingo for the year on Friday
evening. The binge, sponsored
by the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 156, was held in. the
Legion Hall, with proceedsgoing
toward welfare work,
Winners of special games
were Alex McMichael, Clinton
and Mrs. Habkirk, 'Seaforth;
Mrs. H. Swan, Seaforth; Mrs.
Denomme, Clinton. The $100
'special was split four ways.
Door prizes were won by Mrs.
Campbell, Mitchell • and Jim
Watson, Seaforth,.
Regular game winners went
to Mrs. A. Muir, Seaforth; Mrs.

There was a special draw for
two turkeys under the auspices
of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the
Seaforth Community Hospital.
The draw was made by Auili-
ary president Mrs. O. Oke, with
prizes going to Mr. John An-
,drew, } etrolia and Mrs. Mae
Storey, Seaforth. Mrs. Oke
thanked all who participated' in
the draw anti the Legion for
use of. the hall.

The Der -ember meeting of St.
Patrick's OWL, Dublin, was held
on December 11, at the home of
the president, Mrs. L. Cronin.
The president opened the
meeting with a prayer and the
business part of the meeting was
completed. Mrs. E. Durst of
Seaforth, gave a delightful dem-
onstration an Christmas decora-
tions, which was thoroughly en-
joyed by everyone in attendance.
She was presented with a gift
of appreciation.
This was followed by a

Brodhagen
Oh Wednesday evening the
LCW of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church held' its annual Christ-
mas party. The ladies' husbands
were their guests for the eve-
ning, The Bornholm group tout
the program on and the Brod
hagen group prepared' and serv-
ed the supper. Pastor Lossing
was the master of cbremonies
for the program after which
there was an exehange of gifts
and the Pastor was presented
with a mat and a kitchen clock
from the LC'W. Mrs. Lloyd
Prueter showed slides of her
trip to California and of Logan
Township Centennial Day.
The Sunday School is prepar-
ing for its Christmas Eve pro-
gram.
Relatives „received word of
the death of Grant Moore, Kit-
chener, who died suddenly in
a drowning accident, Saturday.
His wife was the former Rose
Kressler, daughter of Ms•. and
Mrs. Ed Kressler, (Martha Dieg-
,e1),• Stratford. The sympathy of
the community is extended to
the family.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ahrens
spent the weekend in Toronto
with their son, Clayton.
