9tit mincemeat pie? Not very

cans, it gives you a great
your own mincemeat. Cherries
or cut, mixed fruit can be ad-
ded tO the following recipe to
suit your own taste. When
you are ready to make the
pies, simply line a pie plate
with pastry, fill. 'with mmce
meat, and cover with .a- top
crust. Bake at 425*}' for 30
minutes or untill nicely
browned.
Cooked Mincemeat
1 pound suet; 1 pound ap-
ples; % pound mixed peel;
1 pound currants; pound
brown sugar; 2 cups cider;
% taspoon mace; 56 teaspoon
cinnamon.
4 pound blanched almonds;
Boil the cider until it is
half reduced in quantity.
Add raisins, currants, suet,
apples, peel, and sugar. Cook
slowly for an hour, then add
almonds ana spi&s. This re-
cipe will keep for one year
or more, state Home Econo-

"Walk Hand in Hand".
A reception was held in the
church parlours.
For a .wedding trip to North
Bay, the bride donned, a teal
blue 'walking suit trimmed with
black muskrat, pink rose bud
coraage and black accessories.
Mr and Mrs. Burch will re-
side in London, Ontario.

onto, Oshawa, Guelph, Hamil-
ton, Stratford, Meaford and
London.
