Gutenberg Bible on the press in Mainz, Germany, which -in
1452 produced the original Bible was presented to Frank
Phillips and Miss 01. Oliphant in Burlington recently. The
scrolls on whicn the page appears were a feature of the Ger-
man pavilion at Expo. It was presented by friends of Mr. Phil-
lips who had been associated with the exhibition.'

Mrs. Harold Bolger and open-
ed by singing "All the way,
My Savior leads me" with
Mrs. , N. Bblger at the piano.
The scripture, Psalm 121 was
read by Mrs.. Janhes McDonald
also a reading. A poem "The
Art of Getting Along" was
read and the topic about an
Indian entitled "An Old Man's
Prayer" or "Prayer for the
New, Year was given by Mrs.
McDonald.
The roll call was answered
by '14 members. "Saviour
Breathe an evening blessing"

Chrstmas meeting to be held
on December 12th. Mrs, Law-
son served lunch.

made for a wedding anniver-
sary, December 2. Mrs. Alvin
McDonald gave a report of
the meeting at Moncrief.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Alvin McDonald, Mrs. Doug-
las Fraser and the hostess.
The 17th and Boundary Un-

George Williamson with ten
members and one visitor pres-
ent.
Mrs. Roy Williamsonopened
the meeting with a thought
for the day followed by hymn
401, "Onward Christian Sol-
diers". The scripture reading
was taken from 106 and 107
Psalms, Mrs. R. Williamson
led in prayer.
Mrs. Ross Bennett gave the
topic taken from the book,
"Did I say thanks".
Mrs. Williamson read a
poem, "God's Letter". "The
wise may bring their Learn-
ing was sung. Mrs. Roza-Ben-
nett

nett took over for the business
period.
The treasurer, Mrs. Wm.
Murray reported, Mrs. Ben-
nett called on the president of
the UCW Mrs. Gordon McGav-
in who gave reports in the U -
CW such as the ,need of the
Fred Victor Mission, Toronto
for good clothing, the joining
of the Evangelical United
Brethren with Perth Huron
Presbytery. She concluded
with the poem entitled "Words
Words,' Words".
The next meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Martin Baan
on December 13th.

is a patient in •Listowel Mem-
-orial Hospital after undergo-
ing surgery for appendicitis..

Church held their annual
meeting Monday evening at
the Community Hall which
opened with a roast turkey
dinner served. by the LCW.
Rev. H. Lossing was chair-
man and Reuben Buuck was,
elected Vice-president. The
other officers have their dut-
ies for the second year. Presi-
dent, Antone• Siemon, past -
president, Harold Elligsen;
Secretary, John J. Gloor;
Treasurer, Norman Benne-
wies.
Following the business tro-

No. 1 for the team with the
,highest average, which inclu-
ded Irvin Schwindt, Wm. Die -
gel, Mervin Leonhardt, Carl
Vock- Alvin Leonhardt, and

'Mrs. Harold, Elligsen, ladies

spending a few days at the
home of her son, Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Beuerman and family in
Kitchener.
Relatives received word of
the death of Wm. Sholdice,
last Thursday. The sympathy
of the comrhunity is extended
to the family.
Friday night a shower was
held` at the Community Hall
for Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cronin
(nee Heather Dubrick). Danc-
