formed the double ring cere-
mony. The 'bride looked stun-
ning in her floor length wed-
ding gown of white Lagoda.
The bodice was highlighted
by a high scooped neckline,
elbow length sleeves and an
Empire waist., Elegance was
portrayed in the gently con-
trolled A-line skirt. The main
centre of attention was focus-
ed on the detachable chapel.

back shoulders. Silhouetting
the sleeves and trewn through
the bodice were appliques of
the most delicate re-
embroid-ered-chantilly lace. This same
lace formed a band around
the skirt, and also enhanced

To complete her bridal out-
fit, the bride wore a French
illusion fingertip veil caught
up by the flattering floral
headpiece. She carried a white
orchid, stephanotis and ivy.
The matron of _honor was
Mrs. Kenneth Jones, Clande-,
boye, Ontario, 'sister-in-law of
the ,bride. The bridesmaids
werMrs, Jack Chipchase,
Hens and` Miss Sylvia Hoo-
ver, Ki c ever, cousin of the
bride. The identical floor
length dresses of apricot fies-
ta chromespun were accented
with an A "kine skirt, an em-
pire waistline and scalloped
bell-shaped sleeves. They wore
matchng rosette headpieces.
and they carried a cascade of
gladioli, roses, and ferns. The
flowergirl,. Miss Deborah Au -
bin; Seaforth,- niece of the
groom, was dressed the same
as the bridesmaids and she
carried a basket of. -similar
flowers.
The groomsman was Melvin
Walters, Seaforth, brother of
the groom. The guests. were
ushered by Robert Walters;
RR 3 Kippen, brother of the
groom, and ' Kenneth Jones,
Clandeboye, brother of the
bride. .

played traditional wedding.

ton about twenty-five years, ago;

sation something like this:
Lew, with the love -light in

ing little girl friend by his

Lew, I don't want to give up
my freedom for a lifetime of

Donates
Trophy
The former S.S. No. 4, 'Tuck-
ersmith has donated a trophy to
Huron Centennial School at
Brucefield, to be awarded to
the student with the highest
marks in music. The gift was
made possible by profits from
the school. reunion held last
June,.
S.S. No. 4 school has been
noted for music through 'the
years. Mrs. Carol. LeBeau, Mus -
ie Teacher at Huron Centen-
nial School was a student of
S. S. No. 4.

MISS MABEL THOMPSON
° Carl:; stepdaughter, Mrs. Mare
Miss Mabel Thompson, 84,
died Wednesday 'in Seaforth
Community 'Hospital,
A life-long resident here for
many years in partnership with
her brother, the late William
Thompson, operated!, a station-
ery and book store until she re-
tired in 1957. She was a daugh-
ter of the late John Thompson
and Agnes boiling.
Surviving is one sister:' Mrs.
Harry (Florence) Welford, Pet-
erborough.
Funeral was Friday at 2 p.m.
at the R. S. Box" funeral home
here. Rev. Douglas 0. Fry of-
ficiated. Burial was in Maitland -
bank cemetery.
Pallbearers were William
Hart, W. R. Smith, Glenn Smith,
Fred McGavin, Elmer Larone
and R. S. MacDonald. Flower -
bearers were Mac McKellar and,
Robert Joyrrt. •
.MRS: WESLEY REAL
Mrs. Wesley -Real, the former
Cora Beatrice Gibb, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hairy
Gibb, former Seaforth residents,
,passed away in Toronto on Oct-
ober 6th, after a month's ill-
ne,ss. Mrs. Real received her
public and secondary school ed-
ucation in Seaforth. Being an
accomplished musieiae, she
,taught music for several years
and had been organist in Ux-
bridge United Church. In 1917
She wasarried to Wesley Real
of Uxbridge. On the death of
her husband several years ago
she moved to Toronto, where
for eighteen years she was ' a
receptionist .at Willard _ Hall
Mrs, Real was a
frequent visitor to Seaforth and,
while here, showed a keen in-
terest in the town's activities
and progress. She leaves to
mourn her loss twin daughters,
Mrs. Harry Dixon of 'California
and Mrs. William Paton of Tor-
onto and seven grandchildren.
Interment -was in Uxbridge cem-
etery.
RUSSELL H. TAYLOR
Russell H. 'Taylor, age 67,
passed away at St. Fiends Hos-
pital, Indianapolis, Indiana, on
Monday Oct. Otlt. Ile was retir-
ed from Chet'rolet commercial
body division, where he had
Worked for 35 years. Ile is sur-
vived
urvived by his wife, Elizabeth son
jorie Ben•cik and two grandsons;
by three sisters, Mrs. Ruby
Webster; Mrs. Fern Coleman,
Mrs. Blanche Stephenson; four
brothers, Harold , of ' Detroit,
Louis, Harvey and Bob, all of
Ontario.
Services were held Thursday,
from the Tolin, Herr Memorial
Chape.. ' Interment" In Floral
Park. Southport Lodge No. 210
F. & A.M. memorial services
were Wednesday, at 8 p.m.
TIMOTHY HICKEY
Timothy (Teddy) Hickey died
suddenly in Vancouver 6n Mon-
day. He was 70.
Born, in Dublin, he was the
son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Hickey. Ag a youth he
went to Chicago and after 20
years there returned to ,Dublin
for 10 years. Since then he has
resided in Vancouver.
He is survived by brothers,
Michael of Lethbridge, Walter
Carpenter of Dublin and a sis-
ter-in-law, Mrs. Marie Hickey of
Seaforth.
Burial was in Vancouver on
Thursday, Oct. 19.
MRS. JOHN KERR
Mrs. John Kerr, 64, of Centre
Street died Sunday in Seaforth
Community Hospital following
a short illness.
Mrs. Kerr was the former
Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Taylor,
slaughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John, Taylor. She was,,born
in Tuckersmith Township where
she received her education. Fol-
lowing her marriage in 1936 to
John Kerr she lived in McKil-
lop Township till moving to
town two years ago. •
She was active in various
women's organizations of Ndth-
side' United Church and was an
actin'e participant in the Sea -
forth ,Wotnen's Institute.
Surviving besides her hus-
band is one sister, Mrs. Norman
(Laura) Korot Stratford.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday at the G. A. Whitney
funeral home, with Rev, .1. C.
Britton of Northside United
Clfureh officiating. Interment
was in Maitlandbank cemetery,
Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Robert Kerr,

celebrated their silver wedding
anniversary on Tuesday, at the
Brodhagen Community Hall.

played progressive euchre. Mrs.
Lorne Mueller read a fitting ad-
dress and Harold Wurdell pre

Iris Kleber, daughter of Mr,
