Obituaries
JOHN C. MUIR •
John Clarence Muir, 80, died
Thursday, Sept. 14, in Seaforth
Community, Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of
the town and for many years
was employed in the local shoe
industry. For 25 years he was
a member of the Seaforth Fire •
Brigade.•
He was married in Seaforth
in 1934 to the former Jane S.
Bartlett of Mitchell.
Surviving besides his wife
are one son Donald B. Muir
of Seaforth. He was predeceas- •
ed by a daughter, Shirley. Also
surviving are a sister, Miss Nor-
ma Muir and two brothers, D.
Alex and Gordon A., all of Sea -
forth.
The funeral service was held
at 2 p.m. Sunday at -the-R..6".
Box funeral home conducted by
Rev. D. 0. Fry of First Presby-
terian Church,
Interment followed in Malt -
landbank cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Eisler,
Norman Scoins, Charles Pind-
er, Enos Boshart, Jack Nichol-
son and Bill Miller. Flower bear-
ers were Bill Miuir, Paul Muir,
Gordon Balfour,. , Jack Muir,
Danny Muir and David Muir. •-
MALACHI BURNS .
Malachi Burns, 82, died on
Thursday at the Stratford Gen-
eral Hospital. He tvas born in'
Hibeert ToWnship, educated at
SS 3 Hibbert and Tied in the
area all his life till three years
ago when he became a resident
at Spruce Lodge, Stratford..
Surviving are one sister, Mrs.

forth. •
The body rested- at the W. J.
Cleary funeral. 'home, Seaforth,
till 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Requiem
high mass was celebrated at St.
Patrick's Church, Dublin 'at 10
a.m. by Rev.. Remi Durand of
Dublin. -
Interment took' place in the ""
parish cemetery.
