The regular meeting of Anm-
•ber Rebekah Lodge held Wed-
nesday evening, Sept. 7th, was
presided over by Noble. Grand
Mrs. - Lindsay Eyre, The new
slate of officers for 1967-68 will
be: Noble -Grand, Mrs. John Cor-
bett; vice -grand, Mrs. Earl
Campbell; financial secretary,
Mrs. Bertha McGregor; record-
ing. secretary, ' Mrs... Leona
Parke; .treasurer, ,Mrs. Ed Cor-
bett.
A letter was read stating that
the District Deputy 'President,
Mr�rs Marjorie Broadfoot of
Brucefield, with her installing
staff of Clinton Huronic Lodge
will install the incoming officers
October 4th. Members were
pleased to • learn that heir -cen-
tennial float which was enter-
ed• in both` the spring horse
show and Frontier Day shoal
won first and second. prizes.
Meeting closed with a pot-
luck lunch and social hour.
Unit four meeting' of the au-
tumn season convened on Thurs•
day in Hensall,• -United Church
with an attendance of 27. Mrs.
Earl Rowe presided 'arid opened
:with invocation.
The . devotional . was given by
Mrs. W. Weeks who used the

The general meeting will be
held on October 23rd when Mrs.
E. Geiger of London, formerly
of Hensall, will be guest speak-
er, unit four will be in charge
of the meeting.

the United Church here on Oct.

Miss Sylvia Headerson who
is n the staff of Bank of
Montrea • patient in Clin-
ton Public Hospital, having been.
admitted last Wednesday.
FUNERAL
ELMGRE KEYS
Mr. Elmore Keys, 66, •of Ex-
eter, formerly of this district,
was killed Thursday morning,
Sept. ,7th, during a heavy fog,
a mile and a quarter west 4f
Hensall, ,on 84 Highway, when
his 'car was 'in collision with a
bakery truck from Zurich, driv-
en by Tony Bedard, ,24, of Zur-
ith, at the intersection. Tony
Bedard was admitted to South
Huron Hospital with lacerations
and bruises and later released.
Police said Mr. Bedard was
driving west 'on 84 Highway
when his truek hit the Keys'
car -as it was crossing 'the High-
way on concession 2, Hay Town-
ship. Police had to wait for
hydro crews to -shut off power
-before the -;;body -.could ise re
moved from the wreckage.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Florence Thomson, two
sons, Gerald, New. Brunswick,
Grant, Toronto; brothers, Sher-
lock, Varna, Ruskin, -Kitchener,
Wilber, Seaforth, Stewart, Or-
illia. Public funeral services,
largely attended Were held from
Hopper -Hockey funeral home,
.Exeter, Sunday, at 2 p.m., con-
ducted by Rev. Ivor Bodenham.
Burial was in Bayfield .ceme-
tery. Mrs. Keys' 'brother; Wil-
liam G. Thomson of Hensall,
died August 29th in a crash at
"Reeve's' Corners', near Sarnia.
