It was very gratifying to know that .so many Worked hardir doing var- ious jobs such as organizing, participating hr the parade, sports, supper and display as well as those who gave us the 25gun salute, took part in the Civic official dedication and the, fine groups wlto, put on as good a show of lopal talent as you would find anywb$re. To aU ;of them they +C.entel ni5d core-. inittee extends their 'heartfelt, thanks. Our effort .on. Labor Day was a. .good,,, exaniple of what ,can be accomplished 'when people work together. The next )rig event is the Guy Lombardo 'Dance which takes plate on Monday evening, Sept. 18th. There is a great deal of work involved, but things seem to in progressing nicely and gradually falling in- to place. Most of the reserved seats are gone but we -still have some of the regular seats left. These are ones that let you sit• in the regular hockey seats and opening with steps are be- ing set up so •that you can go over the. boards and'' get down tf} the dancing area. If you in- tend going to the -dance •.don't delay any longer, ,.because these tieket sales are gathering` mo- mentum and, at the present rate will soon be gone. Anyone wish- ing them ^ may obtain sotrne from Ed Taylor's Shoe, Store, Elmer Larone's Stationery or Dick Box's , Furniture Store. Some people are coming from as far away as Saskatchewan and Baltimore, just dor the dance, This shows the popularity .of the' Lombardo music and the hold it has had on the people over the years. To Seaforth especially it brings some nos- talgia because the Lombardos played in this town when they "were just yot hg lads years ago. Our Centennial year'is grad- ually coming to an end but we hope that, the spirit will carry on into the future and drag us farther out of our shells into which we have kept Ourselves lately. Let- us always remember we are just as good as the -next fellow or -country and that we dont have to take. a back seat to anyone. . An Expositor Classified will pay you dividends..
