DIETRICH - ECKERT'
A very lovely wedding was
solemniked in -Our Lady of
Mount Carmel Church, Mount
• Carmel; on July 15, 1967, at one
o'clock, when Eleanor Marie
Dietrich, Mount 'Carmel, was
united in marriage with Mr.
Peter Vincent Eckert, Kitchen-
er. Father U. Eckert, Gary, In-
diana, officiated, . assisted.... by

The 'bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs.- Charles Dietrich,
Mount Carmel and the bride-
groom is the son of Mrs. Jos-
eph Eckert and the late Joseph
Eckert, RR 1, Dublin, Ont.
The bride, given in marriage

encircled with re -embroidered

sleeves also encircled with Al-
excon lace, fell softly, to the
waist. The removable train
from the waist had appliques.

avel. They wore original floor -
length gowns of delicate pink.
The 'bodices were lace covered
and the skirts chiffon over
crepe. Their headpieces; were
.imitation frosty pink roses with
short veils. They carried better
times carnations and white
daisies with red streamers.
' Mr. Tom Eckert of RR 1,
Dublin, was the best man and
Mr. Ken Murray and Mr. James
Cronin were the ushers.
The organist, QVlr. Paul Diet-
rich of Loddon, played tradi-
tional wedding music and -ac-
companied the soloist, Mr. How-
ard Schmidt of Kitchener, when'
he sang "Ava Maria" and. "O•
God of Loveliness;.' •
i The wedding' reception' was
held .at 'the Dashwood Commun-
ity Centre. The bride's mother
received the guests in a pale
blue linen dress and lace :coat
ensemble with white accessories
and was assisted by the bride-
groom's mother, ; wearing an A-
line•.."haris�blue"""Venisse lace
dress with jacket and blue ac-
cessories. •
For their trip to -the east
coast, the bride's travelling cos-
.t:ume consisted of a ;pink A -lin
dress, 'pink Breton hat, with
_white accessories.
They will reside at 11 Walton
Avenne, Kitchener, Ontario.

TURNER - TYNDALL
St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Clinton was the set-
ting of the wedding of Sher-
lene Margaret Turner, Clin-
ton and Gordon Keith Tyn-
dall, Seaforth on Saturday,
July 15th at 3 p.m. The Rev.
MacLean officiated. The
church was decorated w i t h
baskets of white mums, can-
delaora and ferns.
The bride is the daughter.of
Mr. and Mrs. James Turner,
Clinton and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Tyndall, Clinton.
The bride„ given in marri-
age by her father, looked
stunning in her floor length
gown of white silk organza.
The bodice was highlighted
by a scalloped sabrina neck-
line of delicate chantilly lace,
empire waist and elbow
length sheer, sleeves accented
by the same lace. Elegance
was portrayed in the gently
.controlled' A-line skirt while
the main centre of attention
was focused on the detach-
able train of organza, silhou-
etted with scalloped chantilly
lace and catching at the front
to -form a panier effect. To
complete her bridal outfit, she
wore a French nylon illusion
cathedral length veil -Caught,
up by a headpiece of Swiss
Guipure lace petals touched
with tiny seed pearls. She car-
ried- a crescent bouquet of
gardenias, yellow- sweetheart
roses, stephanotis and ivy.
'Mrs. Margaret' Craig, God•
erich, was matron of -honor
and the bridesmaids were

Thomas and Miss Faye Far

sleeveless gowns with • scoop
necklines, silk lace band. of
flowers at waistline and bow

long white gown similar to
the bride and carried sweet-
heart -.roses and baby mums,

• Mr. Doug Ball, Clinton,
was groomsman. Mr. John
Slavin, Lindsay, and Mr. Lar
ry Griffiths, Niagara Falls,
were the ushers. • .
Mrs. Morgan Agnew, Clin-
ton, ,played traditional wed-
ding music and accompanied
the soloist, Mrs. Robert Ho.

at Hotel Clinton, the bride's
mother received the guests in
a figured gold, white and sib

and corsage of , Talisman
roses. After the dinner a
dance was held at the Legion
Hall, in Clinton.

For their wedding trip to
Northern Ontario the, bride
wore a time green lace dress
with matching yellow acces
series and yellow gloria rose
corsage. -

therington, Wisgham. They
were dressed in floor length
gowns with ruby color -ed bo-
dices and pink skirts, the em=
pire waists being appliqued
with ruby lace. Flowing pan-
els of ruby chiffon fell from
the waist. The tulle veils
were,,held by a cluster of or-
ganza petals and roses in•mat'
Ching ruby. They held white
baby carnations with a single
pink rose.
The groomsman was Paul
S. Wilker, London, and the
ushers were Mr. David Alex-
ander, Kincardine and Edwin
HodgMs, Toronto, cousin of
the bride.
• The organist, Miss Iva Mai
Smith played traditional wed-
ding. music and accompanied
•the soloist, Mrs. Carolyn Kit-
chen' ofi Peterboro, wherl she
sang, "The Lord's Prayer"
and "Entreat Me Not to Leave
Thee".
The reception was held in
the Ladies Parlours of the Un-
ited Church. The mother of
the- bride received the guests
in a romance pink imported
chantilly lace A-line dress
showered with irridescent se-
quins, pink and bone accessor-
ies with corsage of pink roses.
The groom's mother wore a
two-piece dress of aqua • shan-
turvg with white accessories.
Guests were present from
Edmonton, Sault. Ste. Marie,
London, Toronto, Kitchener,
Hensall, Galt, Milton, Luck -
now, Londesboro, Montreal,
Emo, Peterboro, • Brantford
and Parkhill.
For a weddin,�g trip to Mus-
koka, and Quebec the bride
donned a suit of blended silk
in tones of pink with blue.

Mrs. Catherine Ryan was sur-
prised on Sunday afternoon
When sons, daughters and grand-
children came to help celebrate
her .birthday. Mrs. Ryan was
84 years on July 21st. She is
still quite active and enjoys
good health. After a social af-
ternoon a,
fternoona, buffet supper, includ-
ing birthday cake, was served.
