School Centennial
As Canada celebrated its-Oentennial Saturday,,there was
a celebration at SS No. 9 McKillop, in honor of its Centennial
too. Many former teachers and pupils returned to mark 100
years since the founding of the school section in December,
1867. The near and far asppec,t of the re, niers is .illustrated by

Fine sunny weather helped make it a happy occasion for all, old and young. Part of
the large group in attendance relaxes in the shade of the big trees, some almost as old as
the school itself. -

Honor, Graduates
At St. Colunnban
Graduation exercises were
held in the music room of the
new St Colunmban Central
Scbodl for fifte0n students of
the Grade 8 graduating class.
These. pupils have the honor
of being the first graduates of
the new school.
At noon on Wednesday the
Grade 7 class, assisted by Mrs.
Ray Murray and Mrs. Peter
Van "Drunen, served a lunch-
eon to t he Grade 8 class,
their mothers, the , teaching
staff, ,Mr. Iiarley, music sup-
ervisor, and Monsignor White.
BALL REUNION
The Ball family reunion was
held on June lath, at Spring -
bank Park, London, Ontario.
The guest •-book was signed by
111. A picnic lunch was enjoy-
ed by all.• , .'' •
A family tree and several old
time pictures were on .display.
Prizes were given for all those
with centennial spirit, wearing
old time hats, bonnetts and
costumes. .

youngest person in attendance,

couple,, Amos and Hattie Bell,.
Goderich, Ontario; the family
travelling the farthest for the
occasion, . Doris and Jack An-
drews, $carborough, Ontario;
the only beard, 'Arnold Riley,
Clinton, Ontaria.

ents of the Knights of Colum-
bus scholarship from the Fa-
ther Stephen Eckert Council
of Seaforth.

the graduates reminding them
that they should take into the
Fligh School. and into the
world the religious and •moral'
training they have received'.
He presented the diplomas.
Mother Mary Justin, the prin-
cinal,• congratulated the stu-
dents and presented the spec-
ial awards.
