Neighbors and friends gather-
ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs..
Fergus Horan and Paul last
Wednesday evening to honor
them prior to their moving- to
Dublin: The evening was spent
playing progressive euchre. • .
Mrs. Mary Eckert read the
address and Mervin Dietz, Tom
Eckert and Norman Beuerman
presented 'Mr, and Mrs. Horan,
with a swivel rocker; mirror.
and step table and Paul with a
desk lamp.
The following' is the adress:
Dear Mary, Ferg and Paul:
When we heard you were
leaving our neighborhood we
began to think how we would
m1'ssu you. As the time gets clos-
er we begin to realize the em-
pty space you would -leave.'
It seems when , we needed
help we always could call en
Mary and Ferg. Our loss will be
Dublin's gain.
To help you enjoy your new
home and still think of your
old friends and neighbors we
ask you to accept, these little
remembrances with the best of
good wishes and luck.
Signed on behalf of your
friends and neighbors.
There -are stars that go out in
the darkness,
Butwhose silvery light shineth
oat .
There are roses whose perfume
still lingers, •
When the .blossoms are faded
and gone.
There are lives full of light and
of sweetness,
When no longer their life cur-
rent flows, '
Still their goodness lives on
with the living,
Like the souf of the stars and
the rose.
We keep in the memory a love
of the past,
To us it is bright as of old,
For deep in qur hearts is was
painted to last,
In absent'e it never grows cold.
