Windsor to the Quebec border,
are changing the patterns of
population,- of lying, of com-
merce, for one-third of Cana-

Photographs recall what pas-
sed for toads here in the days
when the Freeway wasn't even
a dream: the old log corduroy
road, . a morass _ in spring . and
fall and an. axle -breaker in
summer; the plank road, smooth
and "modern" in the. Gay Nine-
ties but doomed to die with the
cheap trees that made it pos-
sible. •
And the cars are there: the
electric, the Brooks steamer,
the Galt Petrol -electric, today's

place during National Veterans' Week -- June.Xlth' to June 17, .,
Sunday, June l l th at 10:30 a.m.
Veterans will assemble at the Legion'I all 0,114 parade to First
Presbyterian Church for Service at 11 a.m. Following the ser-
vice, the parade will move to Vietaia, Park 'Where a short
Decoration Day Service will be conducted in front of the
Cenotaph at approximately 12 :30 noon. -
Tuesday, June 13th at 8:00 p.m:
Li5ca1 and Zone Veterans will parade from, the Lei, Ball to
the Cenotaph in Victoria Park where a wren 1. will be laid.
The parade --will then return .-ta_the Ifegion Hail,. A dance, to „
which the public is invited, will follow.
The public is invited to participate in National Veterans' Week by atten-
