Birthday
• 'Mr. Porter Dennis celebrated
his 83rd birthday last `:Sunday
with a party held at the ;home
of his son, Murray Dennis.
Mr. Dennis has eight children,
seven of whom Were home for
the birthday party. The children
are as follows: Mrs. Sam Mc-
Spadden (Elsie), Otterville; Mrs.
Gordon Wood (Florence), Mit-
ehell; Mrs. Ken Wilbee, (Grace),
Ethel; Mrs., Wes. Rowe (Ruth),
Scarborough; Don of McKillop;
Grant of Toronto; and Murray of
McKillop. Mrs. Elvin Sim, (Hel-
en), Sault Ste Marie was unable
to attend. Mr. Dennis has 22
grandchildren and 13 were pre-
sent .at the party. '1
Mr, Dennis who is in v,ery •
good health, lives with his son
and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Hurray Dennis.
The leading Lucknow bat-
ter was third baseman Dennis,
with two singles. Leading the
Seaforth attack was Wilkinson
with, a triple, ,Broome and Hag-
an with. a pair of singles and
Anstett with a single.
Workouts have been beld-for
the past few weeks under play-
ing -coach' Al Welch, of Clinton.
