Destoryed
Fire about four p.m., Satur-
day, April 29, ;destroyed a barn
on the farm of Eli Bury on Hur-
on County Road 25, three miles
east of„Blyth.
Blyth firemen” attended "the
fire but'were unable to save
the building. They prevented
ftaamesfrom getting to two
nearby' buildings containing
seed and fertilizer:
Mr. Bury and, his ' son who
were working on the farm at
the 'tiane managed to rescue sev-
eral head of cattle and calves,
but fourteen •pigs belonging to
Richard Bradley were destroy-
ed.

It is believed the fire started
where the power line was con-
nected to' the barn.

by Mrs. Harvey Trairiss and
Mrs. Peter Dunlop. Guest speak-
er for the evening was Mrs.
J. C. Britton' who discussed
"The After Glow of Easter".

1, Blyth,,` were occupants of a•
1963 Chevrolet which hit a
large tree, stump after veering
off the read.
Jim Uhler, Brussels, and a
companion happened on the
Scene soon after the accident
and had' to smash the rear win-
dow to get into the car. Jiin
stayed at the scene of the acci-
dent while his friend went for
help.
It took three hours work with
,.a torch to free the victims. They
were removed to the Clinton
Hospital.' ' Heard was treated
there and transfered to Victoria
Hospital in London. Miss Mc-
Callum remained, in Clinton un-
til Monday afternoon when doc-
tors
oetors thought she would. have
enough strength to stand the,
journey to London.
Heardi suffered a broken an-
kle, two broker1 Legs and O bro-
ken left arm. Miss .McCallum
suffered multiple fracttires of
both legs and ,.her pelvis and
severe' shock. •
Roth at last • word were im-
proving.
