The. Kippen East WI will meet
Thursday,, at 8:30- p.m. in the
Legion Hall, #iensall. The hos-
tesses are Mrs. June Cooper,
Mrs. Edna ,;Caldwell. The roll
call will be "An Easy Sunday
Dinner." The motto, "It Is
Little Waste That Fills Garbage
Cans", by Miss Margaret Mc-
Kay. There will be a debate re-
solved at the mothers of 50
year ago, had it easier than .the
mothers of today. The history of
Ontario will be given by Mrs.
Glenn Bell and a poem by Mrs.
James Drurrimond. The ladies
are asked to bring in :their fav-
ourite written recipe. The lunch
committee will be Mrs. Vern
Alderdice, Mrs. Ross Broadfoot,
Mrs. William Kyle and Mrs.
Charles Eyre.

Northside Unif One
Unit one- of ..Northside UCW
held the May meeting at the
home of Mrs. Clarence Wetlen.
President, Mrs. G. Papple open-
ed the meeting with a poem,
"May Eternal Spring". The sec-
retary read the minutes of last
meeting and roll call was ans-
wered by 21 members and one -
visitor. Several -items of busi-
ness were discussed and; a let-
ter read from our foster child.
Devotional period was taken
by Miss- Fennell, she read a
poems,- "Search for God", also
gave the scripture reading from
the 8th chapter of Acts and a
brief period of . comment on
the Chapter.' Stud? book, "How
the Church came to the West"
was ably given by Miss Mcln-

spent Sunday with ` Mits. Mary
Malcolm and celebrated her
76th birthday. •
