of the late James Beattie and
Leila Buggin. He was born and
educated in. Seaforth and,at an
early age joined the staff of
.the. Tanadian Bank of Com-
merce at Goderich, Later he
was with the Bank of Montreal)
eerving in many centres • in
both eastern and western prov-
inces, He retired a number of
years ago in Ottawa.
Mr. Beattie despite• his trav-
els and the fact he frequently
was far removed from this area
continued a keen interest in
•Seaforth. Following •his retire-
ment he spent a portion of each
yeari/at the fatally residence on
Church Street.
He is survived by his wife,
the •former Pauline Charlotte
Andeeson of Montreal to whom
he Was married in Montreal and
by his son Howard Anderson
Beattie,, both of whom- reside
in Ottawa.
. Funeral services were held
front the G. A, Whitney funeral
home Tuseday morning at 11
am., with Rev. J. C. Britton
officiating. Interment followed
in Maitlandbank cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dr. P. L.
Brady, David Stewart; Len Ford,
D'Orlean SiUs, Clare Reith and
Bill Campbell.
ROBERT E. MacKENZIE
Robert Edwin MacKenzie died
suddenly at Seaforth Commun-
ity Hospital, Thursday. He was
76, •
Born in $eaforth, he was a
son of the late Donald MacKen-
zie and Christena Ross. Educat-

He is survived by his wife,
the ,former Ella Jane Chesney
to whom he was niarried at Eg-
mondville Church tn 1920 and
by two sons, Dr. Donald II, H.
of Toronto and Dr. J. Robert
of Sarnia. He is also surviy-
ed by four grandchildren and
by two brothers, John C., Sea -
forth and Alex It, Orillia and by
two sisters, Miss Rena, Seaforth
and Mary, Mrs., „Montgomery
Patrick, Tuckersmith.
Funeral services were held
from the R. S. Box fpneral
home on Saturday, conducted
by Rev. J. C. Britton. Interment
followed in QVIaitlandbank cem-
etery.
Pallbearers were Vernon
Schatz, Dashwood, Harvey Tra-
viss, Morris Friedman, Harvey
Beuerman, Norman MacLean,
Bert Horton, Hensall. Flower -
bearers were J. A. Stewart, Dr.
-J. A. Munn, Dr. J. S. Hall, Port
Colborn and Paul Richards, Tor-
onto.

Joseph Donnelly passed away
at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don, Monday evening, April 17,
in his 83rd year. He was a val-
ued member of St: Patrick's
Church, Dublin.
He was survived by his wife,
the former Agnes Feeney, two
daupghters, Mrs. Earl (Irene)
Healy of Dublin and Dorothy of

MRS. JOSEPH DONNELLY
Mrs. Joseph Donnelly passed
away suddenly at her home ear-
ly Friday morning in her 77th
year. She was a valued • mem-
ber of St. Patrick's Church,
Dublin, the' Catholic Women's
League and the Altar Society.
She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Carl • (Irene)
Healy, Dublin, Dorothy of Kit-
chener and three sons, Louis,
.at home; Joseph of Goderich,
John of Waterloo; alio 11
grandchildren and two broth-
ers, Mac of Hibbert and Mich-
ael of Detroit.
The late Mrs. Donnelly rest-
ed at home until Monday morn-
ing at 10:30 when Solemn Re -

Adolf Qtten of Ilullett Town-
ship died Thursday in St. Jos-%
eph's Hospital, London, in his
41st year.
Mr. 'Often was born in Hol-
land and immigrated to Canada
in 1952. In 1953 he came to-
Seaforth from Mitchell.
Besides his wife, the former
Fenuny Steenberger, he is sur-
vived by his father, three bro-
thers and five sisters, all in
Holland and his children Rolph,
Janet, John and Harry of hatne.
He was buried Monday' in
Clinton cemetery after a service
at Clinton Christian, Reform
Church with the Rev. G. J. Heer-
sink officiating. Pallbearers
were John Boven, Hank Yap,
Rooijen, Frank Riley, Bill Mill -
son and Luther Saunders.
