The show will be under the sponsorship. of• Seaforth Wo- men's Institute and proceeds will go toward financing'Centen- nial , celebrations in Seaforth and district. The presentation, in the form of a fashion show, consists of 39 women's costumes dating from the visits of early explor- ers to early 1900s. Replicas of the dresses worn by such famous ' women as Madame Champlain, Mrs. John Graves Simeoe and Laura Se - cord are included in the show. ' OBITUARY MRS.,HERBERT COOMBS - %Mrs..Herbert Coombs of Eg- mondville died in Goderich on Tuesday at 76 years of .age. She had been ill for two years. She leaves to mourn,her hus- band, T. Herbert Coombs and six sons: Palmer, London;. Wes- ley, and Kenneth, Seaforth; Cleave, Raymond and H. Fer- gus of Egmondville. 'Also sur- viving are one sister, Florence, Mrs. Peter Dudley of London, one brother,' Harry Wardin of Royal Oak, Michigan and 13 grandchildren. Mrs. Coombs was .the former Amy Wardin, daughter of the late Henry Wardin .,and Jessie Hannah and °was born in Win- throp. She married Mr. Coombs in Egmondville in 1910. She was a member of the Egmond- ville United Church: She -was buried Thursday from the R. S. Box funeral home in Seaforth, with. Rev. Douglas L. Steven officiating.
