Staffa
"Nightie Nitere" 4H Home-
maleing Club, sleeping garments'
met in Staffa United Church
family life centre. There were
13 girls present and roll call
was answered by "Show a ,sam-
v ple of material and name a
seam suitable for it" and "A
suggestion for improving my
record book".
Samples were made of bias
and cerdled piping with Mrs.
Daynard and Mrs. Jeffery giv-
ing instructions.
At- 'a -plater meeting 14 girls
`answered the roll call fin-
ish Lwill use on my nightgown
or pyjamas". Samples were
made of handstitciiing and ma-
chine stitching lace to material.
The record book covers were
handed out 'and -some girls did
some work on their project..
Miss Teresa Miller entertain-
ed 10 school friends Thursday
after school on the occasion of
her 10th birthday.
Miss Joanne. Templeman vis-
ited Stmday with Miss Bonnie
Kerslake, Cromarty.
•Sunday visitors with Mrs.
Mary Miller and Mr. and Mrs.
.Leslie Miller were Mrs. Arth-
ur Rhode and Joyce, Mitchell
and Mr. and Mrs, Raymond 'Mil-
ler and family, Monro.
A large crowd of interested
people were in attendance at
the family life centre of Staffa
United Church on Monday eve-
ning when the sessions of the
local United and Presbyterian
Churches were host to an eve-
ning of talks and discussions on
the part the church plays in
education. •

man for the evening and intro-

Lodge officially, Monday,_ eve-
ning. In addressing the meeting
she read several excerpts' from
the International Rebekah and
Odd Fellow `Association bulle-
tin regarding the' United Na-
tions Youth Pilgrimage sponsor-
ed by these organizations an

in England, France, 'Holland,
Italy and Switzerland before
it was made in Canada. Dif-
ferent places where cheese is
made include cheddar in Eng-
land; limburger in Berlin;
Swiss in Switzerland; Brick
in U.S.•; clabber in Poland;
Blue cheese in .Denmark.""" -

ped 'cream was made during
the meeting, •and served with
various breads from other
countries.
The 8th and 16th U.C.W.
Unit met at the home of Mrs.
Clarence Martin Monday af-
ternoon. The meeting opened
by singing :"Take Time to be
Holy".The scripture, Psalms
67, was read by Mrs. Douglas
Fraser. The topic "The re-
newal of peeple in the inner
city" was taken by Mrs. Don-
ald

MRS. PEARSY GRAHAM
Mrs. Pearsy Graham, widow
of the late Areliie Graham, and
the former Matilda Pearson
Scott, of Hurozwiew, and form-
erly of Hensall, passed away in
Victoria Hospital, London, on
Wednesday, April 12th, where
she was adhnitted as a Patient
on Monday of that week• She
was 83, was born in Sebring-
ville, and lived in Hensall for
many years. She had been- a
resident of Huronview for' sev-
