L. Bennewies and Mrs. Caroline Brodhagen. Mrs. Norman Bennewies donated a quilt to the LOW for the Luth- eran Seminary. Th'ank you notes were read from Mrs. Alfreida Hartig, Mr -S. Shultz, Mrs. J. L. Bennewies, Mrs. Harold Rock, Mrs, C Brod- hagen and Mrs. Irvin Miller. The ladies are to cater to an appreciation supper for the junior choir and the Sunday School teachers on March 16. They are going to have a booth at the sale of Edwin Scherbarth ,on April 12. Lenten envelopes are going • to be sent in the Easter bulletin which will be sponsored by the LCW. Bennewies, Mrs. August Scherbarth spent a few days last week in Kitch- ener with her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Glick, Rev. Glick and girls. Wilbert Bach, London, visit- ed last Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ahrens and Mrs. Ed Prueter. Mr. and Mrs. Don McLaughlin and family, Stratford, spent the weekend with William Diegel. Leonard Miller; Kitchener and Karen Schumm, Baden, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller ,and.Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Burchill and Jeff, Mitchell, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sholdice and family, on Sunday. The sympathy is extended to the family of the late Mrs.' Ot- to Bauer, who passed away tlast Wednesday, at the hospital in Listowel. Clayton Ahrens, Toronto and Kenneth Ahrens, Hamilton, spent the weekend at' the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ahrens. A ° shower was held Friday night at the Brodhagen Hall for Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Larson, (nee Sharon Wood). Ken Wilbee supplied the music for dancing. The newly married couple were presented with a gift of money. OBITUARY MRS. OTTO BAUER Mrs. Otto Bauer, 68, lot 28, con. 11, •Logan Township, died Wednesday, March 1, at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Born in Logan Township, the former Lena Kistner, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kistner. Her husband predeceased her in 1961 and a daughter, Mrs. Don (Elsie) Devan, earlier. She is survived by one son, Harold, at home, four brothers, Daniel, Stettler, Alta., John, Fred and Gordon, all of Logan Township. • Funeral services were held on Saturday, .at the Heath -Leslie funeral home, Mitchell, with Herman Fleischauer, Milverton, Wilfred Rock, RR 1, Borrfholm, Stanley Brown, Lyle Leake, Jer- ome Jacob and Louis Oakley, be- ing pallbearers. Temporary entombment was in Woodland Cemetery Chapel, with burial later in the ceme- tery, Mitchell.
