OBITUARY JAMES RUSSELL MAKINS James Russell Makins, Clin- ton, passed away suddenly in Clinton Public Hospital, Friday, February 17 of a heart attack, in his 72nd year. He was a member of the Clin- ton Branch 140 of the Canadian Legion and was a veteran of World War One. „ He pioneered in Northern Saskatchewan for 20 years, then returned to .the East and in 1942 was married to Beth For- rest of Clinton. They, resided in Loaflon for a, time then return- ed to Clinton, taking up resi- dence there until time of his death. He was the eldest son of the ate Williamand- Mary. Ann Makins of Stanley Township. Surviving are his wife, Beth nd one brother, Lloyd of Bay- ieid. The funeral service was con- ucted on Monday, February 20, y Rev. It U.
