Unit two of Northside met on
Tuesday at the home of Mrs.
Janie Hoggart, with 20 mem-
bers• and three visitors present.
Mrs. MSffatt conducted the de-
votional and Mrs. Leeming had
the topic on homes. "We do not
need grandier or beautiful
homes. Keep your homes pure,
happy and God -like places of
kindness in your homes, have
a kind word for everyone," she
urged.. •

45 relatives paid a surprise vis-
it to the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Pepper, RR 1, Dash-
wood, to honor them on the oc-
cosion \ of their 25th wedding,
anniversary. They were married on Janu-
ary 24th, 1942, at Brodhagen,
Laura, 'second eldest daughter
o'f Mr. and Mrs. Victor Deichert,
Zurich, and Clifford, youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs• Roy Pep-
per;. Clinton. Attendant were
Mrs. Harold • Taylor, Seaforth,
sister of the groom, and Earl
Deichert, brother of the bride.
They made their home on the
Kalbfleisch homestead,- RR 1,
Dashwood, and have resided
there since.. '
Mr. and Mrs. Pepper have a
family of four daughters: Mrs.
Earl Miller, (Marion) Dashwood;
Doris, Ruth Anne and Joan; and.
two grandsons.
The celebration took the form
of a buffet style dinner at
noon. ' The table was centred
with the anniversary, cake. Af-
ter a lovely meal, the bride and
groom and their attendants of -
25 years_ ago, were asked to
come forward. They were . pre-
sented with corsages and bou-
tonniers:
Mrs. Edgar Elligsen, 'Walton,
read the address in which she
reminisced on some of the in-
cidents and happenings of
Laura and Cliff's courtship days
and closed by wishing them
many more years of happy mar-
ried life. On behalf of their
parents, sisters, brothers, and
families, gifts were presented
by Miss Margaret Deichert, Kit-.
chener and Mrs. Frank Falconer,
Clinton. Cliff and Laura thank-
ed all for their thoughtfulness.
On the Sunday previous, the
daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Pep-
per entertained' their parents
at a dinner at the 'Colonial Ho-
tel, Grand Bend. The family pre-
sented them with a gift of mon-
ey. They were also the recipients
of many dards of congratulations
and good wishes,

In the evening the family
entertained the brothers and
sisters of their father and mo-
ther, to a pleasant evening of
progressive euchre and a buf
fet supper, the table being
centred with a three -tiered
wedding cake, flanked with
white tapers and wedding
bells. The celebrants receiv-
ed numerous gifts, and a
purse of money from the
