Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Knox, residents of Londesboro
since 1942, on Monday celebrated their 65th wedding anniver-
sary with a family dinner at Winghain. Mrs. Knox is 85 and
her husband 88 and both enjoy comparatively good health.
They were married ,Christmas day 1901. Mrs. Knox was the
former Harriet' Dale, Mr. and Mrs. Knox have three chil-
dren: Miss Levine Knox, Toronto; William, Toronto; Carman,
Stouville; and six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Bradley Bennewies underwent
an ear operation at • General
Hospital, in Stratford. Bradley
is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Earl
Bennewies.
Ford Dickison Industries had
the misfortune of losing a large
shipment of cages sent to' New-
foundland: This had been trans-
ported by Mulholland Transport
to Montreal dock where they
were loaded- on the ship Cabo,
bound for St, Johns, Newfound-
land, Just a few hours before
setting sail the Cabot capsized
dumping the entire cargo of
2,000 tons to the bottom of the
St. Lawrence River.

Hespeler Mic-Macs scored five
straight goal's in the third per-
iod As they downed 'the Sea -
forth Beavers 10-6 before a good
crowd at the Arena on ,Tues-
day night. The Beavers played
a strong first period' as they
outscored the visitors 4-2. From
then on it was all Hespeler as
they outscored the locals 3 to
1 to tie the game 5-5 at the
end of the second period. In
the third period they outscored
the locals 5 to 1 to round out
the score,
Frank Martin, Mary Main -and
Dave Hipel' led Hespeler with
two goals apiece while Ray
Scoins, Bob' Heatherington, Bill
O'Krafka and Barry O'Krafka
added singles.
Bill McLaughlin had the hat
trick for the Beavers with Jack
McLLwain adding a pair and
Larry Dale one.
