Christmas •
Meeting
The Christmas meeting of the
Brucefield '‘.TCW was held in
the school rectal with the Stan-
ley Unit in charge o the pro-.
gram. Mrs. Treibner opened the
meeting by a responsive Christ-
mas story. Mrs. 'Stuart, WS.
Cal, Horton, Mrs. John McGreg-
or, Mrs. Howard Lemon, Mrs.
W. Scott, Mrs. Cliff frender4011
lighted the candles. Carols
were sung during the candle-'
lighting service. Mrs. L, Wilson
led in closing prayer. The Mag-
nificat was read responsively' by
Mrs. Treibner and Mrs. Lemon
-read papers on Christmas Views.
Mrs. H. Taylor,. president,
took the chair for the business
part of meeting. The treasurer's
report showed $1,182.72 on
hand and the allocation for
1967 of $560 and $1A expense
funds was accepted. Mrs. Ken
Scett reported en bales sent to
Preabyterial and Bella Coola
Hospital. The Ontario Hospital
sent a thank you note for ar-
ticles sent and Mrs. Scott re-
ported Brucefield is tQ have an
evening meeting program at
the hospital on March 21, in
the form of a birthday party.

Wilson was read also a card
signed by all ' present will be
sent to Mrs. Haugh.
Mrs. Berry and Mrs. Taylor
reported on gifts taken to Hur-
onview and boxes for shut-ins.
Receipts reported included:
group one, $'707.19; group two
$355.25, (not complete); group
three $707.19. After discussion
it was deaided tat adeP.t a Kor-
ean orphan.
Mrs. .Taylor thanked all for
the co-operation she had receiv-
ed during the year and Wished

a fire around its base.

to bed, or whenever you leave your home.

tendent Don Brine had charge
of the service, assisted by Rev.
John 'king. The scripture les -
don was read by Debra Jaques
and Janet Tomlinson. Mrs.
James Miller told the story of
the Black Madona. The ..child-
ren entered the church in class-
es with their teachers and de-
posited their gifts at the tree.
The gifts were delivered by
Mr. and Mrs. Don Brine to the
Saugeen Indian Reserve at
SoUthampton.
The,, members of the Young
People's Union df the Wood-
ham charge have been practis-
ing for their vesper service to
be held in the Wobdharn church

Mrs. L. Strong called on the
guest speaker Mrs. Rena Cald-
well who took the group on
a trip with her slides, to Aust-
ralia, New Zealand, China,
Japan. She said that Perry
Mason has an island on the
Fiji Islands and also mention-
ed how the pastures were so
green and flush right to the
top of the hili in New Zea-
land. Miss Frances Houston
thanked all who took part in
the meeting.
