PRESBYTERIAN WMS
The WMS. of First Church
met Thursday. The meeting wgs
opened by the president, Mrs.
Francis Coleman. Minutes were
read by Mrs. John Thompson
and Mrs. Charles McKay gave
the treasurer's. report. It was
agreed not to hold a meeting
during the month of August.
The meeting was taken over
by Mrs. James Keys group and
a Christmas program was pre-
sented, consisting of carols and
Christmas stories.
After the program, Mrs. Cole-
man presided for the installa-
tion of the new officers, later
elpsing with prayer. •

Campbell; Christmas packages
from the Friendship and Visita-
tion committee of Hensall Un-
ited Church, by Mrs. R. J. Drys-
dale and Mrs. Lorne Hay.
Plants from the Rebekah and
IOOF C.P. and T. committee by
Mrs. Clarence Volland and How-
ard Lemmon.
Flowers from James Street
UCW, Exeter for. Miss Olive
Prior and Mr. Archie Ryckman.

Christmas plants were deliv-
ered to shut-ins by members of
the Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. -
Christmas boxes were packed
and delivered to shut-ins of
Carmel Presbyterian Church
congregation by ladies of the
WMS. The boxes were packed
at the home of the president,
Mrs. Earl Campbell.
Twenty-four Christmas plants
were delivered on Sunday to
shut ins by members of Rebe-
kah and IOOF C.P. and T. com-
mittee,
Elo' -Patricia Klungel, five -
mo th old daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Klungel of Queens-
way Nursing Home, is a patient
in War Memorial Children's Hos-
pital, London," for observation.
Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle at-
tended the concert presented
by the University of Western
Ontario Choir with the UWO
orchestra, Sunday evening • in
Thames Hall. Miss Ann . Mickle
is a member.
Kinettes Meet
Mrs. John Baker was hostess
for the Christmas meeting of
the Kinette Club at her home,
Wednesday evening. During the
-business-.session,- a donation- was
made to the Salvation' Army at
London.
Mrs. Ron Wareing and Mrs.
Harold Caldwell were present-
ed with birthday gifts, and Mrs.
Ken Chuttleburg of Hensall was
a guest for the evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Clendon Chris-
tie and Catharine Anne will
spend 'Christmas with Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Watson, Seaforth.
Mr. arid Mrs. Sim Roobol
spent the weekend with Mi. and
Mrs. Tony Gelderland of Ridge -

Mrs, Alf Ross, Mrs. Ed. Dick,
Mrs. .Tom Brintnell and Mrs.
Harold Parker, each lighting a
candle to represent different
countries, followed by their
carols. Mrs. Russell Brock of-
fered the missionary • prayer
and Mrs. Robert Kinsman pre-
sented a skit, "Gifts that mon-
ey, can't buy." Mrs. A. Ross
favoured with' a piano solo.
Mrs. H. Currie gave the Christ-
mas message, relating to•Christ's
first Christmas.. Hostesses were
Mrs. Clarence Coleman, Mrs.
Robert Boyce, Mrs. William
Gibson and Mrs. Lloyd Fergu-
son.
