Mr. Gracey was introduced
by D. H. Miles, Huron's Ag-
riculture Renresentative.
William Ffiptt. secretary of
the Ontario Shorthorn Associ-
ation, agreed with Mr. ,Gracey
and said he favored rail -grad-
in - and said farmers are not
selling their beef animals ear-
ly enough -they are waiting
until they are too -heavy. He
said, "Those who do not con-
s
form to performance testing
will be swept aside," and aciii-
ed that one of the weak spots
is the approach to commercial
cattle.
He cited the Rainy River
District and the area around
iPort William as being leaders
in performance testing. "They
have weigh scales in their
feedlots," he said.
