Mrs.'Thomas R. Pollard, 88,
died at Huronview, Clinton,
Saturday. She was born . at,
Constance in Hullett Town-
ship, the former Ida Alberta
Cole. Her husband died in
1936. Surviving are several
nieces and nephews. She was
a member of Constance United
Church. The funeral service
was held Tuesday at--2-0p.m.
at the G. A. Whitney funeral
home, Seaforth. Rev. J. C.
Britton officiated and burial
was in Clinton cemetery.

Mrs. Claudine Coughlin
A native of Stratford and a
prominent residerit of Wind-
sor for many years, Mrs.
Claudine Coughlin, 86, widow
of Judge J. J. Coughlin, died
Monday in Huron Lodge, fol-
lowing a lenghly illness.
The former Claudine Hagar-
ty, she was the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Timothy
Hagerty, who at one time op-
erated the Commercial Hotel
in Stratford. In 1904 she. mar-
ried John Joseph Coughlin, •
who also served as acting ma-
gistrate here. In 1916 Mr.
Coughlin was appointed juni-
or judge of -Kent County and
moved to Chatham. Three
years later he••••became senior
Judge of Essex County end
made his home in Windsor,
where -he died 4n-1956.,•-- ,_. __
Surviving Mrs. Coughlin are
four sons, Rev. Lawrence J.
Coughlin, parish priest of St.
Columban Maurice F. Cough-
lin, QC; Timothy P. Coughlin,
and William H. Coughlin, all
of Windsor; two daughters,
Sister Anna of the Sisters of
Service, Manning, Alberta;
and Mrs. Frank (Madeline)
Canfield, of Detroit; 23 grand-
children and five great grand-
children.,
The body rested at the Mar-
cotte funeral home, 870 Wy-
andotte St. E., Windsor, until
Wedeesday where a palvate
service was held at the funer.

The sudden death occurred
in Toronto East General Hos.,
pital ori November 24, of Cecil
Ross (Rte) Hunter.
A druggist in, Toronto for
many years, he is survived by
his wife, the former Agnes
Smith of Seaforth, a daughter,
Mrs. Joan Firmanty, Cooksvilie
and by three grandchildren,
Linda, Kevin and Karen. He is
also survived by a sister, Mrs.
E. Silverhorn, Springfield. 'Mr.
}tenter was a brother-in-law of
Glen Smith, Seaforth and Ralph
Smith, Pontiac.
Funeral services were con-
ducted Saturday from the R. S.
Box Funeral Home by Rev. J. C.
Britton 0Northside United
Church. • Burial followed in
Maitlandbagis cemetery.

were edged 4-3 by the Hespel-
er Mic-Macs before a good
crowd of 350 people. •
